The daughter of the Commander-in-Chief of the Aerospace Forces, Sergei Surovikin, told the Base that no one had arrested the general and that everything was fine with him.

The letter states that the Ministry of the Interior will give "absolute priority to reestablishing order within the Republic and protecting people and property", praises the addressees' actions and says that the rioters make up a "small minority, which doesn't represent the vast majority of urban neighborhoods' population".

The newspaper clarified it was referring to rumors zebras had escaped from a zoo in the next paragraph.
