This was stated by Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine Anna Malyar. According to her, the goal was to disrupt the logistics of the Russian Federation Armed Forces operating in Ukraine

Noteworthy that earlier Ukraine officially denied its responsibility for undermining the bridge, with even some of Ukraine ministers repeatedly implying that it was the work of third parties or even a false flag by Russia itself.

The bridge was damaged less than a month after the sabotage of the Nord Stream 1 & Nord stream 2 gas pipelines.

As a result of the attack, 3 civilians were killed
