Taiwan Tests HIMARS for the First Time

Taiwan conducted its first live-fire test of M142 HIMARS systems during the “Thunder” drills at the Jiupeng military base today.

The exercise simulated a major counterstrike against a PLA Navy landing force.

Seven M30/M31 rockets with ranges of 70-94 km were fired from HIMARS launchers.
