With the Wazalendo counteroffensive in the south beginning to slow down, M23 have relaunched its attacks in the north towards Lubero, capturing the town of Lgalika. The DRC Armed Forces, FARDC, are now at risk of encirclement at Kikuvo. M23 had attempted to storm the large town of Kikuvo head-on several times over the past few months but failed.
