Two groups of B-2 Bombers were deployed. One group of the bombers travelled westwards along its normal Pacific route, with its aerial refueling tankers transponders on. The Pentagon and international media acknowledged the movement.

Meanwhile, a second group of bombers went eastwards, via the Atlantic, under the radar. The movement was done in stealth, with no activated transponders.

While the first Pacific group had just passed Guam, the second Atlantic group had already entered Iranian airspace.

The second Atlantic group is already on its way back to the US mainland, while the first Pacific group are stationed at RAF Diego Garcia.
