Reuters reports operations to salvage the vessel are now underway.

Note, reports that the tanker was heading to an Ansarullah port are all false. Reports that the tanker departed from Iran or is a part of Tehran's shadow fleet are all false. The tanker is owned by India's Delta Overseas and operated by Russia's SIBUR. It departed from Sohar Port, Oman, and was heading to Djibouti.
