🇲🇲🇲🇲 - The Arakan Army is reportedly involved in fighting only around 5 kilometres away from the KaPaSa 16 military production facility in the Bago region.

✍️ In January the AA finally managed to establish full control over the strategically vital Hill 666, a hilltop base blocking the road towards a large junta concentration of military production facilities.

☄️ Since then they have cleared and captured smaller bases in the area and are advancing towards the previously mentioned KaPaSa 16 facility.

🥸 KaPaSa is the domestic state owned Myanmar Directorate of Defence Industries and produces basically everything that can feasibly be produced in Myanmar. Ammunition of all different calibers, heavy weaponry, small arms etc etc.

⚠️ The Junta has launched numerous failed counterattacks to try and stop the AA advance but so far has only managed to slow them down.

🫦 If the AA were to capture or destroy these production sites it would be a massive blow for the Junta logistics which are already stretched out to cover the increased needs of the military.

🌐 Additionally most of these facilities are bunched up in the Bago region and if one falls it presents a massive danger to all the rest, picture attached shows just how geographically concentrated the production sites are
