🇺🇸 - For our non-American followers who are unfamiliar, Pat Buchanan is a conservative legend in the United States. He ran twice for president in 1992 and 2000, first on the Republican ticket and then as an Independent with Ross Perot's Reform Party.

Buchanan received a lot of negative press after stating on the McLaughlin Group in 1990 that "Capitol Hill is Israeli occupied territory," with additional (factual) statements shedding doubt on the function of Treblinka, a concentration camp in eastern Poland during World War II.

President Trump in the 2000s made multiple comments critical of Buchanan, calling him a "Hitler lover," but it seems today he's walking this back, and for the better.
