First look at a few pages from Issue 0 of RTACTN, which we are finishing up this week.
In this article, Might is Rite, ritual concepts are explored, and a sample is given based on our own Winter Solstice rite.
“In some Hindu texts, there is an idea that when the priests stop performing the old ceremonies, the world itself comes to an end.
In many ways, this is true.
When we stop performing the rituals of the sun and the moon, of the blood, of naming our children, of taking fire to the high peaks…our world comes to an end. The world of our people as something that has a sense of itself, and of our place in this ongoing story, this continuing mythos.
To perform ritual is to pour blood into deep channels first carved countless thousands of years ago- to redden those riverbeds, nearly dry, and to revitalize and make holy our very existence.”

THREE OF SWORDS
“A man’s best counsel often lies in his own heart.”
The man of worth must not get caught up in the emotional turmoil of the mob, and all its petty concerns, distractions, its fears and its rages.
He must also remain above praise and condemnation, seeking neither, and simply doing what he knows is right, as dictated by the burning flame of the Eternal.
The Three of Swords in its Dolorous seeming is representative of deep pain, sorrow, or grief, usually “inflicted” upon one by others.
It is a card of betrayals, disillusionment- of heartbreak, and dark thoughts and deeds.
And yet, a man may be said to be defined by his pain, and his relationship to it, as Ernst Junger famously said.
In other words, it is not necessarily our pain itself that dictates who we are- but how we have overcome it, and borne it.
How we have been made stronger by it…or undone and unmanned.
Like a knight on the battlefield dying in pain and blood, who refuses to make an “unchivalrous” sound, this is how we should bear our daily hardships.
It is not those around us who affect us emotionally, but we ourselves who allow them to take control of the strings, and manipulate us with words, actions, and so on.
They did not “make us” angry- our anger was there already, before them. We simply allowed them access to it.
Take care who you give the keys to the inner chambers of your heart.
In its Joyous seeming, this card represents the man who is calm, confident, in control, and knows he is on a path of righteousness.
He is unswayed by the emotions and feelings of the mob or the people around him, and stays to his course.
He conquers his own darkness and wears the armor of Truth, through which no sword can pierce.

This is the New Dark Ages, and we are still living in a kind of feudal system.
The lords of the day are the merchant class, the plutocrat, the demagogue- the peasantry is everyone else.
Under the rule of law and the rule of “have or have not,” the rank and file of humanity is ground under the heel of the boot of profit and “progress.”
Human value is almost entirely derived from wealth, or from the most prized exotic victim status- entertainers, whores, and common criminals are the highest strata of the global social elite.
Archaic words like “honor” and “integrity” are simply utilized as ironic jokes, or as marketing and advertising terms by humans who have become soulless, self-programmed machines that produce currency.
The real rulers of this world are servants of the Golden Bull, the Scarlet Woman, the Great Dragon- principalities and powers who run this theatre from off the stage, shadowy cabals who practice whole-sale human sacrifice at this triune altar.
They have given themselves over to the worship of this unholy trinity, and they shackle the world in service to them as well- many shackle themselves, thinking that service of the Bull is freedom, or service of the Dragon is love.
Beneath the Cross of Iron in our heraldry: three drops of blood.
Their names are Virtus, Fides, Nobilitas.
Virtue, which also means strength, skill, power, masculinity, quality.
Fides - faith. Belief. Loyalty.
Nobilitas: nobility, heritage, renown.
Virtus et Fides, Nobilitas Sunt:
“Virtue and Loyalty are Nobility.”
Our heritage is not necessarily one of social aristocracy, but if we fight this fight, we are aristocrats of the trenches, men who have made ourselves noble through courage and indomitable will, through total adherence to our divine ideal.
We are faithful and obedient to this ennobled self forever, serving the highest expression of ourselves, which is the true lord- not this hideous class of perverted patricians claiming dominion over this earth.
Our blood is the highest offering we can sacrifice for our ideals- to give our lives to a cause greater than ourselves, and to serve it faithfully with virtue and high ability grown from dedicated action.
To give one’s blood, one’s time, one’s life to their cause or for their brothers is the truest expression of love and of loyalty.
May we all be given the opportunity to show our dedication- honor is grown from acts of loyalty alone.

We were not meant to live the life of normal men- but to become the stuff of future memory.
Not to grind out our existence in service to the Dragon, the Bull, or the Scarlet Woman, trading in our hours for a flickering screen, a handful of dust, a momentary pleasure.
To say “someday” or “if only,” but knowing inside that “someday” will never come, and “if only” will be “never was.”
We were meant to shake the earth with our passing.
To place our golden deeds into the vault of time and remembrance, becoming immortal heroes who stood for Truth and Glory.
Men, you must put off the sickness of inaction and set yourself onto the only path with any meaning at all:
The Eternal and Endless Campaign for the Holy Grail.
But what is the Grail?
Its legend has called to men for time immemorial, long before the star was seen in the desert, or a prophet was put to death in a place called “Skull.”
Before it was said to have fallen as a stone from Lucifer’s crown, its fame was known to certain peoples and places - a wondrous cup, or stone that could give life, power, renown.
The quest of kings who ruled over the land and were connected to the land itself…
We know what it is, and we know how to find it:
The Grail is the Quest itself, and its fulfillment - it is The Grand Campaign for Meaning and Spirit.
To be called to join this Campaign is a great cry within the blood that speaks to some, and with a mighty voice shouts to us: “Go forth!”

While it is important for men to be driven to action, it is equally important for that action to be inspired by things that are both imaginative and beautiful.
“Men of action” who are not inspired by a masculine mythology and poetic worldview will still create-
They will simply create a world both ugly and brutal, and devoid of imagination.
When applying ourselves to an ideal, it should be one that inflames our higher passions, stokes the ardor and instills in us a sense of the heroic and the romantic.
Only the dull and defeated see this life as anything other than a quest for the highest expression of loyalty, of strength, and of glory.
This is the true campaign for the Holy Grail.

Likewise, the byproduct of resistance met and overcome is increased honor.
A man of worth serves a purpose higher than that of his own personal life - this purpose or ideal may be called “God.”
The highest acts a man can then commit are those of loyalty to this ideal - all actions that are detrimental to this ideal can be called “sin.”
Honor, that is, the power and righteousness of a soul, is obtained by these acts of loyalty, and lessened by any act of disloyalty.
An individual living in a state of continuous honor has attained a place in the Grand Campaign.
Glory is the renown one obtains through this state of honor.
It is the splendor that shines from the man who has embraced a higher purpose, and is completely absent from those who have not.

In a time when “belief” is untested, and simply refers to a story you tell about yourself, how many of you are willing to take a challenge and rise to the occasion?
If we say we are men of a different kind than the mob, if we claim to be something more noble, if we profess to believe in a higher way - all these words and claims are dust and ashes unless our lives are visibly in stark contrast to the lives of normal men.
WE MUST BECOME THE STUFF OF FUTURE MEMORY.
Those who merely pay lip service to an ideal, while living in a fashion identical to that of those who serve the Dragon, the Bull, or the Scarlet Woman are traitors. They speak one way and act another. This is not in line with the kind of brutal chivalry we are suggesting.
Brutal is defined in these times as “punishingly hard or uncomfortable.”
“Direct, and lacking any attempt to disguise unpleasantness.”
“Harsh, severe.”
The original Roman name “Brutus” meant someone “heavy” or “masculine.”
Truth is often ugly and harsh.
A life lived without compromise can often be hard, uncomfortable and direct.
Without hardship, without trials and pressure, a man cannot become something more than he is now - and those who flinch in the face of severity or discipline are not worthy of being counted among our new ranks.
These days are full of paper warriors, toy soldiers.
Who among you would be a real one, and pick up the Gauntlet, accepting discomfort and a life of dedication to Right Action?
We need look no further than the righteous orders of the past to inform our new one - many of these truths are eternal, and the knights of old may ride once again if we utilize their guidance and bring it forward through mists of the past into the neon fog of our age.
If you are someone who counts themselves a man of worth, or an individual who would become one, then continue with us as we prepare ourselves for the Grand Campaign.
Each man must serve the Table, before he can sit at it.
It is high time a New Table was assembled.
