The River Ganges has enormous religious significance to Hindus. They believe it’s goddess Ganga brought to Earth by Lord Shiva. People come to ritually bathe in the Ganges waters as it’s supposed to cure illnesses. Ashes of the cremated are also dispersed across its waters.
Some half a billion people rely on the ‘mother river’. However, the same people who revere the river throw garbage, sewage and industrial waste into the Ganges. Watch the full documentary, Cry of a River, to get the complete picture of the water crisis in India.

This is Anya Korchagina from Novosibirsk. She’s 12, and she has Progeria, a rare genetic disorder. At the age of 3, she started ageing rapidly. There is no cure, so most patients don’t live past 13. But, despite her disease, Anya lives a full life.
She’s recently taken TikTok by storm. In three months, 360,000 users started following her. Anya’s videos garner millions of views. She calls herself ‘Dobby’ because she resembles a Harry Potter character.
Anya is currently undergoing an experimental treatment, which might slow down the ageing processes.
The subjects of our documentary, The Curious Case of My Face, know what it’s like to become old early. Check out their story and wish Anya luck with her treatment.

On the 80th parallel north, there’s not much life. It’s a vast icy desert with the occasional polar bear in the distance. Nevertheless, Russian researchers have been travelling nearly to the top of the world since 1937 to collect data from the Arctic region.
They used to land on an old thick ice floe to live and work on it for almost a year. Then, they slowly drifted across the Arctic ocean. But warmer temperatures mean the ice cover is melting rapidly. So expeditions had to be evacuated after the ice gave way under their drifting stations.
They’ve come up with the ‘ship and ice’ polar station when researchers work on the ice but can retreat to the safety of a vessel. We joined an expedition aboard the Akademik Tryoshnikov.

In 2014, Donbass residents refused to recognise the results of “Maidan”, which sparked a severe reaction from the Ukrainian authorities. Donetsk Airport became a base for the Ukrainian military in the conflict because of its location. They succeeded in taking it over and used the control tower as the base for shelling the militia and peaceful citizens. One of the main objectives was retaking the airport control tower.
The film features burnt homes, people seeking for shelter, and victims of shelling from the airport. The film crew also met militia members, former miners, teachers, and plumbers, who had taken up arms to defend their home.

We support our Paralympians and suggest you watch the story of Konstantin Khalturin - a Paralympic athlete from Russia. Apart from being a sportsman, Konstantin is a successful wheelchair dancer, who inspires many despite his disability.

The final stages of the retaking of Donetsk airport took place in late 2014 early 2015. Tensions were flying high.
The Donetsk airport within the city limits became a stronghold the Ukrainian army wanted to retain. The Donbass militia was forced to stop them from taking it over. In response to the Donbass people’s militia, the Ukrainian army directed fire towards the peaceful districts of the city. Donbass residents had to hide from gunfire and lost their loved ones in the war, as the old and new terminals were taken by storm. The Ukrainian military eventually lost control, leaving Donetsk airport was destroyed.

The Russian Ministry of Defence has provided footage of the Donbass highway near Lebedinsky – showing damaged tanks, American-made Javelin anti-tank missiles and abandoned positions.
The Russian Ministry of Defense halted its offensive at 10 am local time so residents could leave the encircled Azov Sea port city of Mariupol. In addition, another humanitarian corridor was created for the nearby town of Volnovakha, controlled by Ukrainians. In the latest round of negotiations, a safe passage was agreed with Ukraine to provide humanitarian corridors during a temporary ceasefire.

Maidan movement gained momentum in Kiev in 2013. Protests were prompted by the government’s decision to suspend the signing of the association agreement with the European Union. At first, the protests looked like a rock festival, but soon signs of hostility started to creep in from politicians and nationalists. Leaders of nationalist organisations admit they have been preparing for violent street riots long before the protests engulfed Kiev.
Maidan: Road to War was shot from 2014 to 2022, as the DNR and LNR territory was subjected to daily shelling from Ukraine. The film wants to draw the attention of the Ukrainian authorities to the shelling and the deaths of civilians in the Donbass, but the government didn’t respond.

Balalaika is the most Russian of musical instruments. Initially a peasant’s instrument, it resembles a guitar, but its sound is hard to confuse with anything else. The balalaika is popular far beyond Russia.
Washington DC is home to the largest Russian folk orchestra outside the former Soviet Union. Musician Janet Bohm bought a balalaika during a trip to St. Petersburg in the 1960s. Decades later, she founded the Washington Balalaika Society, which plays traditional Russian music in the US.
Political relations can be strained, but when it comes to ordinary people - they always find common ground, Janet says. So what do ordinary Americans think of Russian people? Find out in our documentary.
