‘When our house caught fire, we jumped out. And here, the tank was standing and pointed its muzzle at us. And the men say: ‘Well, shoot. What are you looking at?’ [Only] then did he take it and turn the muzzle away’. Tamara Antonova tells how, during a bombardment, together with her neighbours, she jumped out of the basement directly in front of an Azov* battalion tank.
Her home is next to the Azovstal plant, where the Azov* militants are located. Tamara could not leave: her sister Lydia was lying in the apartment. RT and a Russia-DPR humanitarian convoy team managed to bring them out.

‘They beat me with a bat on my arms and legs. Then they beat me on the head, on the neck with boxing blows ... Such a large fighter sat down on top, squeezed me with his legs from both sides. And they put a rag on his face and began to pour water. This water torture is called waterboarding’.
Hieromonk Theophan recalls how Ukrainian special services tortured him in 2015. He spent a little over a month in captivity. However, the man says faith in God gave him strength. Hieromonk describes the Ukrainian military as a new type of fascists.
Theophan's story is in our video and film ‘Donbass War: Summer 2014’.

‘I said, ‘you see, someday there will come those who’ll bring Nazism back’, and here they are’. These are the words of a man who went through the Minsk ghetto as a child; he was almost three.
Vladimir Trahtenberg remembers the horrors of Nazism: ‘We would compete, who’d hold his breath the longest so that if the Germans came, they’d think we were already dead’.
RT Documentary with correspondent Paula Slier went to Belarus to meet the Minsk ghetto survivors. About 120,000 Jews passed through it, and only 10,000 survived. Few remain now. In our interviews, former prisoners share their stories about the Minsk ghetto and reflect on the prosperity of Nazism in the modern world.

‘I’m here for five minutes, and then I’m told the first five people they found it was five decapitated heads. They were all civilians.’ American journalist George Eliason shows a grave near Luhansk. Most civilians murdered by Ukraine’s military and political leadership are buried here.
George has been covering events in the Donbass since 2014. He compares the atrocities of Ukrainian nationalist battalions to the crimes of ISIS*: ‘Armies don’t do this. Maybe ISIS does this. And what do you do with groups like ISIS? How is Ukraine different?’ George has repeatedly sent pieces to Europe and the US media about such crimes. ‘My hope is that this begins the process to bring this into an international forum.’

‘Russians have called that the ‘special military operation for a reason. It’s not war. Russia went out of its way to prevent unnecessary harm to Ukrainian civilians and Ukrainian civil infrastructure’. American military analyst Scott Ritter shared his opinion on the special operation in Ukraine.
Scott is a former US Marine Corps Intelligence officer, and he’s well aware of the capabilities of the Russian army and its military power.
According to him, ‘Russia didn’t exploit its advantages’ to minimise losses for Ukraine. ‘Unfortunately, that hasn’t panned out’, says the analyst.
‘We’re going to see Russia use its advantages to prevail on the battlefield in a manner that accomplishes all of its missions, including the denazification and the demilitarisation of Ukraine’.

‘When two shells flew into our yard, my husband immediately said: ‘Ukraine’. That’s where they were sitting, and it flew in from there... A Ukrainian tank was standing on the street’, says a refugee from Mariupol.
Her husband was seriously wounded: they removed his spleen and a rib. When they arrived at the hospital, there was ‘no water, nothing’. The woman says that doctors and nurses cried because they could not help the seriously injured. Now she, like many other refugees, has found temporary shelter in the village of Bezymennoe.
Their stories will be featured in a new RT Documentary film.

Alexis uses the callsign Alfonso and has been fighting on the side of the DPR for the last eight years. He is originally from Colombia but lived in Spain from 10. He participated in the anti-fascist movement there.
Alexis accompanied the RT Documentary film crew to the Ilyich plant. He found NATO ammunition, German licence plates, and a Spanish grenade launcher. Alexis wants the Spaniards to know that their country supplies weapons to the Nazis.
During filming, a ginger cat suddenly ran out, hungry and dirty. He didn’t move a single step. And then he jumped into the car and refused to get out of it. He was given a name - Marik, in honour of Mariupol, where he was found.
In one of the houses where the journalists came to look for a friend of the Spanish intelligence officer, the cat decided to stay. The hostess did not chase him away. Alexis’s story will be part of a new RT Documentary film.

‘The only people they [Mariupol residents] don’t blame is Russia because to them, Russia is coming, and they have saved these people.’ John Dougan, a former US police officer, conveys what residents of Mariupol told him. He went to the war zone because he didn’t believe the Western media: ‘The story that was being reported in the Western media was not the story that the people were living in Ukraine.’
Residents heard John speaking English, approached him, and asked to relay their messages to the world: ‘From the beginning of the war, I wanted the whole world to know that the way they protected us is not protection. They were hiding behind our backs. They just simply destroyed us.’
John is now actively blogging about his trips to Donbass. He hopes as many people as possible around the world will find out the truth about the situation. Want to know more about John Dougan? Watch our documentary about him 'Breaking Bad Wolf' right now.

‘And I also think that the average American confuse NATO as this harmless defensive alliance that America underpin with its military might and economic strength. They don’t view NATO as a threat because they are part of NATO’. Military analyst Scott Ritter spoke about the attitude of the Americans towards the special operation and the position of the US authorities.
According to him, Americans are not aware of NATO's goals of expanding and undermining Russia and believe ‘the Ukrainian government’s version, of instead, they’re an innocent country that’s been attacked by its large brutal neighbour’.
But as information would come out, it’s going to be ‘a rude wake-up call to Americans to find out that the Nazi ideology was real. It was there. It was pervasive’.
