Stanislav Zas, the Secretary-General of the Collective Security Treaty Organization, explains why it was necessary to create a new military-political bloc 30 years ago. The CSTO was founded after the fall of the USSR. The organisation includes six countries: Russia, Belarus, Armenia, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan and Tajikistan.

‘I incredibly regret that I went to serve in the Azov regiment, on the one hand. But, on the other hand, if not me, then someone else would be in my place. I don’t hate a guy I don’t know enough to let him go through all this hell’.

This is an interview with the captured Azov fighter Pavel Ilnitsky, who talks about his service in the battalion. Ukrainian radicals, neo-Nazis and foreign mercenaries joined Azov. In Mariupol, they shot at civilians, used them as human shields, and hit houses with tanks. In the battalion, Ilnitsky heard some fighters call for the return of the Donbass by force and its inhabitants ‘kicked out to Russia’.

At the end of June, the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation will consider a lawsuit to recognise Azov as a terrorist organisation. In Russia, Azov fighters face 10 to 20 years in prison if passed.

‘Chef’ is a founder of one of the most violent gangs of football hooligans in Europe. He’s been injured a lot: ‘I was stabbed, I got my ribs stamped… Arm broken. And stabbing, I was stabbed in the face’. He doesn’t stop fighting. What does his hooligan band mean to him? Find out in the clip.

‘Just as the Nazis were tough, the SS in the Great Patriotic War, so they [Azov fighters] were. They didn’t even spare their own’.

A Vostok Battalion soldier, codenamed Forest, said what he thought of the Azov fighters. He participated in the liberation of Azovstal and Mariupol from nationalist battalions and the Ukrainian military. Forest saw the Ukrainian side shooting at civilians and not sparing their own people.

According to the soldier, when Russian troops entered Mariupol, residents were slow to evacuate and afraid: ‘For eight years, Ukrainian propaganda told them that Russians would come and kill everyone, but in the end, it turned out the opposite’.

‘There is no any Russophobia in Pakistan, absolutely’.

Dr Abrar Hussein, a representative of the Pakistani community in Russia and head of the Wonderful Life charity foundation, shared his opinion about the special operation in Ukraine and explained how some Pakistanis feel about Russia.

Abrar and other doctors assisted refugees from Ukraine, the LPR and the DPR. He knows how the Russian-speaking population was subjected to harassment there.

He also spoke about the removal of Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan. In April, he was forced to leave his post because he was building a relationship of trust with Russia. In support of Imran Khan, the Pakistanis go to numerous rallies, where, according to Abrar Hussein, you can see Russian flags.

‘In one of their shelters, we found literature in Ukrainian that explains in detail, with illustrations, how to make IEDs [improvised explosive devices] from pens and pencil cases. And bigger devices that can be installed on roads and in cars.’

The Russian military showed RT Documentary where Azov fighters and the Ukrainian army took refuge in the Azovstal steelworks and what kind of improvised explosive devices they made there. They were planned to be used against Russian soldiers and military hardware.

‘Such surprises can still be found in the plant. Engineer reconnaissance is carried out here. [We] look for devices and disarm everything they find,’ says one of the Russian servicemen.

Together with her daughter and her invalid mother, she got to relatives in Makeyevka, a big city in the DPR. They had their first shower in three months and a good night’s sleep in a warm bed.

‘To be born with albinism in Tanzania is very tough. People think we do not die. People have been hunting us, have chopped off our body parts.’ Hasan Hamisi, an albino, is from Tanzania. His mother was advised to kill him with poison because of his albinism at birth.

Today is International Albinism Awareness Day. And what do you know about these unique people? In Tanzania, many believe the white-skinned are immortal spirits who bring bad luck to their families. Others believe that albino body parts can be used in witchcraft to cure diseases or make them rich. That’s why people with albinism in Tanzania fear being maimed or killed for the colour of their skin.
