🏔Japanese man, aged 90, reaches peak of Mt. Fuji in wheelchair.

Alpinist Yuichiro Miura reached the summit of the tallest peak in Japan, having used a wheelchair for the three-day ascent. He wanted to use the climb as rehabilitation after suffering from health issues. Miura is unable to walk long distances on his own due to lingering numbness in his limbs caused by an illness, so for much of the trip he rode in his wheelchair, despite the acute feeling of pins and needles in his legs when he moves his body. The chair was dragged by a rope by his friends and family members.

This isn't Miura’s first mountaineering achievement. The alpinist became the oldest person to conquer Mount Everest at age 80 in 2013.

The three subjects of our documentary weren’t held back by their illnesses either. They tried to conquer Africa's highest peak - Mount Kilimanjaro. Did they succeed? Find out in ‘Kilimanjaro Challenge'.
