Apple e AT&T enganam usuários

Embora ainda não existam iPhones 5G, Apple e AT&T estão usando um truque para fazer parecer que estão à frente da concorrência. Quando os aparelhos são atualizados com a nova versão do iOS 12.2 (beta 2), aparece na tela um novo ícone: 5G E. Em 2012, as companhias fizeram algo semelhante em relação ao 4G LTE.

A reclamação tem aparecido no Twitter de usuários que acabaram de instalar a nova versão. A grande sacada é que o ícone só aparece em cidades que têm a rede 5G Evolution (que também não é 5G, é apenas LTE) e nos iPhones XR, XS e XS Max. Basicamente, a ideia é fazer parecer que se tem uma verdadeira evolução na tecnologia, mas os telefones e a rede são os mesmos.
