Press release on threats to global food security and Ukrainian grain supplies to international markets

❗️We have noted the increasingly frequent statements by Western representatives, echoed by UN officials, on the threat of a major food crisis due to a shortage of grain and fertilisers on international markets, allegedly provoked by Russia's actions in Ukraine.

We feel compelled to once again reiterate what the real root causes of these problems are.

👉 As far as the blockage of Ukrainian grain shipments by sea is concerned, we emphasise that Russia has never hindered the export of grain from Ukrainian Black Sea ports. In reality, safe navigation in Ukrainian territorial waters and the use of ports are currently impossible due to the high level of danger posed by mines and threat of shelling created by Kiev.

👉 It would be worth recalling that since the beginning of 2020, food and energy prices have increased significantly driven by the coronavirus pandemic, adverse climate factors and, importantly, major miscalculations in Western countries’ financial and economic policies.

🇷🇺 In turn, we reaffirm our readiness to continue to fulfil our obligations to export grain, fertilisers, energy resources and other critical products.

"Калининградский транзит был одним из условий вступления Литвы в ЕС. Это специфический режим, на который не могут распространяться ограничительные меры, тем более односторонние нелегитимные санкции. "Kaliningrad transit was one of the conditions for Lithuania's accession to the EU. This is a specific regime that cannot be subject to restrictive measures, especially unilateral illegitimate sanctions. We are not talking about trade and transport relations between Russia and the EU. Cargoes go exclusively from Russia to Russia."

"An attempt to establish a blockade of the Kaliningrad region by Lithuania is a challenge to Russia's sovereignty over this region and may be the basis for retaliatory tough and legal actions on the part of Russia."

💬 Russian MFA Spokeswoman Maria #Zakharova: Speaking about food security, I would like to recall that prices on food products and energy soared since early 2020 due to:

- coronavirus pandemic,
- bad climate conditions
- and, importantly, systemic miscalculations in the financial and economic policy of the Western countries.

This created difficulties in the world markets (higher freight and insurance rates and transport breakdowns). Transport logistics and insurance collapsed due to the pandemic. Unilateral sanctions were imposed on top of all that.

These sanctions introduced by Washington and the EU under its pressure exacerbated the situation to the utmost.

I would even call them not just unilateral sanctions but sanction harassment of our country.

The goal is obvious – to isolate and inflict maximum damage on the Russian economy and Europe.

In turn, we confirm our willingness to continue fulfilling our commitments regarding the export of grain, fertilizer, energy and other critical products.

🔹 The official representative of the Russian Ministry of Defense Igor Konashenkov on the missile attack on Western military equipment in Kremenchug:

«On June 27, in Kremenchug (Poltava region), Russian Aerospace Forces launched a high-precision air attack at hangars with armament and munitions delivered by USA and European countries at Kremenchug road machinery plant.

High-precision attack has resulted in the neutralisation of west-manufactured armament and munitions concentrated at the storage area for being delivered to Ukrainian group of troops in Donbass.

Detonation of the storaged munitions caused a fire in a non-functioning shopping centre next to the facilities of the plant.»

❗️ Французский телеканал «France 24» выпустил репортаж, в котором говорится, что большинство жителей города Лисичанска Луганской области не поддерживают военных и власти Украины. Люди не хотят покидать город и ждут российских военных как освободителей.

🔸 Позиция местных жителей удивила французских журналистов. «Украинские солдаты обстреливают нас, это они убивают наших детей», — утверждает на видео местная жительница.

❗️ The French TV channel France 24 published news release, which showed that the majority of residents of the city of Lysychansk, Luhansk region, do not support the military and the authorities of Ukraine. People do not want to leave the city and are waiting for the Russian soldiers as liberators.

🔸 The position of local residents surprised the French journalists. “Ukrainian soldiers are firing at us, they are killing our children,” a local resident claims in the video.

📌Пока в Дании российскую культуру пытаются «отменить», в России к достижениям мировой, в том числе датской, культуры относятся с уважением.

📌While Denmark is trying to “cancel” Russian culture, in Russia the achievements of world culture, including Danish culture, are treated with respect.

The Hermitage is currently hosting the exhibition “Vigilius Eriksen: Portrait Painter to the Russian Empress”, dedicated to the 300 years anniversary of the birth of the outstanding Danish artist.

The display brings together paintings, drawings, prints, sculptures, miniatures, medals and works of applied art that relate to the Russian period in Eriksen’s life.

🇷🇺🇺🇳 From the Statement by First Deputy Permanent Representative Dmitry Polyanskiy at UNSC briefing on maintenance of peace and security in Ukraine

💬 The Security Council should not turn into a platform where President Zelensky, though remotely, can angle for more NATO weapons. This erodes the authority of the Council as a body responsible for collective decision-making in the interests of maintenance of international peace and security. The Ukrainian side, supported by our Western colleagues, seeks to undermine this authority and use UNSC members as audience at its performances.

Ukrainians and their Western sponsors realized quickly that in a digital era, the developments on the ground do not matter.

But at some point everything went off the rails. On social media, there appeared more evidence and more reasons to blame Ukrainian soldiers and neo-Nazis for committing atrocities and war crimes.

🔸 Датские СМИ продолжают обвинять российских военных в преступлениях против украинского народа. При этом единственным доказательством зачастую становятся заявления официальных представителей Украины.

🔸В апреле экс-омбудсмен Украины Людмила Денисова обвинила российских военных в совершении «изнасилований» и «военных преступлений» в Буче. Заявления тут же подхватили западные СМИ. Не остались в стороне и датские газеты: соответствующие статьи были опубликованы, например, в «Политикен» (https://cutt.ly/PKLprvS) и «Берлингске» (https://cutt.ly/AKLpi5u).

🔸А вот о чем в июне написали СМИ самой Украины: украинская прокуратура не смогла подтвердить сообщения Л.Денисовой о якобы случаях изнасилования местных жительниц и детей со стороны российских солдат. Как позже рассказала Л.Денисова в ходе допроса, о большинстве случаев изнасилований, якобы имевших место на Украине, ей сообщала дочь – руководитель горячей линии при офисе омбудсмена Александра Квитко. Последняя заверяла, что с февраля на горячую линию поступило около 1040 звонков, из них – якобы 450 с информацией об изнасиловании детей. Правоохранители, впрочем, установили, что за все время на горячую линию Квитко поступило всего 92 звонка. Информация об их содержании и предмете поступающих жалоб и вовсе отсутствовала.

🔸Удивляет наивность датских СМИ, готовых верить всему, что заявляют киевские власти. Сами же украинские политики к своим словам и коллегам, по всей видимости, относятся более критично: 31 мая Верховная Рада поддержала увольнение Л.Денисовой с должности уполномоченного по правам человека из-за несоответствия занимаемой позиции.

🔸 The Danish media continue to accuse the Russian military of crimes against the Ukrainian people. At the same time, the statements of official representatives of Ukraine often become the only evidence.

🔸In April, former Ombudsman of Ukraine Lyudmila Denisova accused the Russian military of committing "rapes" and "war crimes" in Bucha. The statements were immediately picked up by the Western media. Danish newspapers did not stand aside: relevant articles were published, for example, in Politiken (https://cutt.ly/PKLprvS) and Berlingske (https://cutt.ly/AKLpi5u).

🔸And here's what the media of Ukraine wrote about in June: the Ukrainian prosecutor's office was unable to confirm Denisova's reports about alleged cases of rape of local residents and children by Russian soldiers. As Denisova later said during interrogation, most of the cases of rape allegedly taking place in Ukraine were reported to her by her daughter A.Kvitko, the head of the hotline at the office of Ombudsman. The latter assured that since February the hotline had received about 1,040 calls, of which allegedly 450 contained information about the rape of children. Law enforcement officers, however, found that Kvitko's hotline received only 92 calls at all. Information about their content, as well as the subject of incoming complaints were completely absent.

🔸The naivety of the Danish media, ready to believe everything that the Kyiv authorities say, is surprising. Even the Ukrainian politicians themselves seem to be more critical of their words and colleagues: on May 31, the Verkhovna Rada supported the dismissal of Denisova from the post of Ombudsman due to the inconsistency to the position.

Российская инициатива была отклонена, однако это не означает, что вопрос о ядерном оружии США в Европе снят с повестки дня."

💬 The current problems are not rooted in the West’s concern over developments in Ukraine. The West has much more ambitious schemes. They reflect the realisation that its 500-year era of dominance in world affairs has not only approaching the end but that it is being relegated to the past.

The West’s current actions reveal its all-out desire to prevent objective historical process from taking place and to maintain its dominance at any cost. You can see how they go to any length. They finish this drive with economic sanctions that they impose on our countries, among others.

Recently, a White House official said yet again that neither Russia nor anyone else, for that matter, should be apprehensive of NATO because it is only a defensive organisation. This is ridiculous. Adults should be ashamed to say nonsense like this.

❗️ 3 июля злоумышленник открыл стрельбу по посетителям в торговом центре в Копенгагене. Преступник задержан. Его мотивы неизвестны. Убиты 3 человека, четверо раненых находятся в тяжелом состоянии. Жертвы, по мнению полиции, случайные, хотя само преступление готовилось заранее.

🔸 По предварительным данным, среди погибших, – 47-летний гражданин России, постоянно проживающий в Дании. Посольство в контакте с полицией устанавливает личность нашего соотечественника.

🔸 Посольство выражает соболезнования пострадавшим в этом трагическом инциденте и их близким.

❗️ Личность россиянина, погибшего во время стрельбы в торговом центре Копенгагена, установлена. Посольство связалось с его родственниками. Им были выражены соболезнования. Подтверждена готовность оказать необходимую поддержку.

🔸 По просьбе родственников и в интересах следствия личные данные россиянина разглашаться не будут.

💬 The goal of the Kiev regime is to strike the residential areas of cities with unguided weapons. This is far from the first time something similar has happened.

We understand that these actions of the regime in Kiev were not only agreed upon with its western superintendents but were also most likely prompted by them. They do this to force us into striking back in a similar fashion so they can carry on hyping their anti-Russian hysteria.

We have abstained from making such steps, but we will be monitoring these developments very carefully. Those who have been acting in this fashion should be aware that they will have to pay a hefty price should these provocations continue.

📌 4 июля Донецк и ряд населенных пунктов Донбасса подверглись очередному зверскому обстрелу со стороны ВСУ, в том числе, из поставляемой странами Запада крупнокалиберной артиллерии. Выпущено более 500 снарядов. Пострадали десятки мирных жителей. Есть погибшие, в том числе – 10-летняя девочка.

🔸Обстрелы ведутся неизбирательно, разрушениям подвергаются жилые дома, объекты гражданской и социальной инфраструктуры, среди которых детские сады и школы. Таким атакам со стороны ВСУ регулярно подвергаются как различные районы Донецкой и Луганской народных республик, так и приграничные с Украиной области России. 3 июля украинская ракета произвела массовые разрушения жилых кварталов в центре российского Белгорода. Повреждены 11 многоквартирных и 39 частных домов, есть раненые и погибшие.

🔸Об этих преступлениях украинских военных в датских СМИ нет ни слова. Нет публичного осуждения со стороны официальных лиц и политиков Дании. Таким же образом Запад 8 лет закрывал глаза на уничтожение Киевом собственного населения на востоке страны. Складывается ощущение, что жители России и Донбасса воспринимаются как люди второго сорта.

📌 On July 4, Donetsk and a number of settlements in Donbass were subjected to another brutal shelling by the Armed Forces of Ukraine, i.a. with large-caliber artillery supplied by Western countries. More than 500 shells were fired. Dozens of civilians were injured. There are dead, including a 10-year-old girl.

🔸Shelling is carried out indiscriminately. Residential buildings, civil and social infrastructure facilities, including kindergartens and schools, are being destroyed. Armed Forces of Ukraine regularly conduct such attacks against various regions of the Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics, as well as against Russian regions bordering Ukraine. On July 3, a Ukrainian rocket caused mass destruction of residential areas in the center of Russian city Belgorod. 11 apartment buildings and 39 private houses were damaged, there were wounded and dead.

🔸There is not a word about these crimes of the Ukrainian military in the Danish media. There is no public condemnation from Danish officials and politicians. In the same way, for 8 years the West has ignored how Kiev killed its own population in the east of the country. It seems that the inhabitants of Russia and Donbass are perceived as second-class people.
