🎙 Address by President of Russia Vladimir Putin to heads of Eurasian Economic Union Member States (January 23, 2023)
💬 On January 1, 2023, Russia took over the chairmanship of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council, the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council and the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission.
It is obvious that the Union has every opportunity to become one of the strong, independent, self-sufficient poles in the emerging multipolar world.
Developing the technological potential of EAEU member states, attaining genuine independence and self-sufficiency in this sphere should become one of the most important strategic priorities of our joint work.
🌐 I would like to specifically stress the importance of building mutually beneficial and equal cooperation between the union and external partners and international associations.
Expanding the geography of the EAEU’s international links and contacts with countries in the Asia-Pacific Region, the Middle East, Africa and Latin America would help boost exports of the union’s products and build new logistics chains.
☝️ We count on close cooperation and support from the EAEU member states in the practical implementation of the priorities of Russia’s presidency in 2023.

🇷🇺🇺🇳 On January 20, the fourth session of the UN Ad Hoc Intergovernmental Committee to Elaborate a Comprehensive International Convention on Countering the Use of Information and Communications Technologies for Criminal Purposes (hereinafter “the Ad Hoc Committee”), which was set up at Russia’s initiative, concluded its session in Vienna.
During the session, several UN member countries submitted proposals relating to the provisions of the first three chapters of the future document, which are Criminalisation, General Provisions and Procedural Measures and Law Enforcement. <...> An international agreement like this is much needed because of the high penetration levels of information and communications technologies around the world and how quickly it is developing.

❗️ The Russian Federation, jointly with like-minded [nations] and developing countries, is seeking to secure that the document being drafted can be applied on a broad scale and that it contains the commitment of countries to safeguard their national sovereignty and counter the use of information and communications technologies for terrorist or extremist purposes, or to justify Nazism, or distribute drugs or weapons.
The United States and its satellites oppose this approach as they seek to entrench the West’s technological superiority in cyberspace, untie the hands of their own intelligence services and IT giants, so they feel free to engage in blackmail, sabotage and the uncontrolled collection of user data around the world, and also to scale down international cooperation as much as possible by pushing through purely Western-style human rights standards.

⚡️ On January 24-25, the 18th extraordinary session of the World Heritage Committee, which is responsible for the implementation of the 1972 Convention Concerning the Protection of the World Cultural and Natural Heritage, took place at the UNESCO Headquarters in Paris.
A group of countries of the “collective West,” using direct support from the no longer objective UNESCO Secretariat, have pushed through a politically biased and scientifically unsubstantiated decision to inscribe the Historic Centre of the Port City of Odessa on the World Heritage List “in the face of threats of destruction.” The decision was prepared hastily and in violation of UNESCO’s high standards.
☝️ Thereby, the Western countries have again demonstrated their disregard for the rules of procedure at the World Heritage Committee and readiness to sacrifice the once high prestige of UNESCO and its basic 1972 Convention.
It is notable that two thirds of the Committee member states did not support the questionable move initiated by the Kiev regime’s handlers: the decision was taken by six out of 21 votes.
We do not question the cultural heritage and the glorious past of Odessa in the Russian state, and it is logical that it has been inscribed as a heritage site in the face of destruction. However, it should be clarified that the only threat to that city with a rich history comes from Ukraine’s nationalist regime, which has been systematically destroying monuments to the great founders and defenders of Odessa, namely, Empress Catherine II and her associates: Iosif Deribas, Platon Zubov, Francois-Paul Sainte de Wollant, Prince Alexander Potyomkin and Generalissimo Alexander Suvorov, who are integral to the centuries-old historical and architectural heritage of the city.
❗️ UNESCO should have separately condemned the deployment and use of military facilities and weapons in the Port City of Odessa. But nobody has uttered as much as a word about that, for some reason.

❗️27 января в Копенгагене, в том числе перед зданием Консульского отдела Посольства России в Дании, состоялась серия кощунственных акций по сжиганию Корана - книги, священной для мусульман.
❌Публичное глумление над чувствами верующих, организованное при попустительстве датских властей, является не проявлением свободы слова и демократии, а грубой и невежественной провокацией, рассчитанной на разжигание межрелигиозной розни и межцивилизационного конфликта.
☝🏻Возможности для подобных выходок должны быть полностью исключены, а их организаторы привлечены к ответственности.

❌Offentlig hån mod de troendes følelser, organiseret med de danske myndigheders medvirken, er ikke et udtryk af ytringsfrihed og demokrati, men en uforskammet og uvidende provokation, beregnet til at anspore til tværreligiøst had og inter-civilisatorisk konflikt.
☝🏻Muligheder for sådan en ballade skal helt udelukkes, samt arrangørerne må stå til ansvar.

⚡️ Заявление МИД России в связи с очередным военным преступлением киевского режима и стран Запада
28 января вооружённые силы Украины, использующие системы залпового огня «HIMARS» производства США и предоставляемую странами НАТО разведывательную информацию, включая спутниковую, нанесли удар по больнице в Новоайдаре Луганской Народной Республики Российской Федерации. Погибли 14 человек. Ещё 24 получили ранения разной степени тяжести.
⚠️ Преднамеренный обстрел действующих гражданских медицинских учреждений и целенаправленное убийство мирных граждан являются тяжкими военными преступлениями киевского режима и его западных хозяев.
Отсутствие реакции со стороны США и других стран НАТО на это очередное чудовищное растаптывание Киевом международного гуманитарного права ещё раз подтверждает их прямую вовлеченность в конфликт и причастность к совершаемым преступлениям.
☝️ Налицо откровенные двойные стандарты. Страны Запада вместе с Киевом устраивали истерики в связи с провокационными инсценировками «преступлений» российской армии в Буче и Ирпене, которых на самом деле не было, но упорно не замечают вопиющие варварские действия нацистского киевского режима, убивающего мирных людей из американского, британского, французского и германского оружия. Они носятся с идеями создания незаконного «трибунала» против России, но ничего не говорят о необходимости суда над украинским руководством и военными за их очевидные по сути каждодневные преступления. За подобной неуклюжей тактикой видна явная попытка отвлечь внимание от собственной ответственности за их свершение. Ясно, что западники и Киев не имеют ни формального, ни морального права на упомянутые вздорные обвинения в наш адрес.
❗️ Все эти творимые киевскими вооружёнными формированиями под эгидой Запада акты криминального беспредела не будут оставлены безнаказанными. Они тщательно фиксируются. Организаторы и исполнители понесут неотвратимое наказание.

⚡️ Russian Foreign Ministry’s announcement on another war crime by the Kiev regime and Western countries
On January 28, the Armed Forces of Ukraine, using US-made HIMARS multiple launch rocket systems and intelligence information provided by NATO countries, including satellite information, attacked a hospital in Novoaydar, Lugansk People’s Republic of the Russian Federation. Fourteen were killed. Another 24 received injuries of varying severity.
⚠️ The deliberate shelling of active civilian medical facilities and the targeted killing of civilians are grave war crimes committed by the Kiev regime and its Western masters.
The lack of reaction from the United States and other NATO countries to yet another monstrous trampling of international humanitarian law by Kiev once again reaffirms their direct involvement in the conflict and in the crimes committed.
☝️ These are clearly double standards. Western countries, together with Kiev, threw tantrums following what was a provocative staging of supposed Russian army crimes in Bucha and Irpen, when in fact these events never happened, and stubbornly prefer not to notice the blatant and barbaric actions of the Nazi Kiev regime, which kills civilians with American, British, French, and German weapons. They have fixed the idea of creating an illegal tribunal against Russia, but say nothing about the need to try the Ukrainian leadership and the military for their obvious everyday crimes. Such clumsy tactics hide their clear attempt to divert attention from their own responsibility for these acts. It is clear that Western countries and Kiev have neither a formal nor a moral right to the abovementioned absurd accusations against us.
❗️ All these criminal lawless acts performed by Kiev armed formations under the auspices of the West will not be left unpunished. They are being carefully noted. The organisers and performers will inevitably suffer punishment.

🏥 In total, since April 2014, more than 150 medical institutions in DPR and 45 in LPR have been damaged by the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
❌ Unfortunately, Western colleagues once again distort facts or use blatant disinformation. It's no secret that the long–term goal of the US and its allies in Ukraine is "victory over Russia on the battlefield by any means".
❗️ Meanwhile, the Kiev regime resorts to war crimes like:
1⃣ Use of civilians as "human shields";
2⃣ Placement of military equipment and establishing firing positions in residential buildings and civilian infrastructure;
3⃣ Transportation of military personnel and military cargo on medical and other non-specialized vehicles with "non-combatant" markings;
4⃣ Use of prohibited inhumane types of weapons, i.a. cluster and unguided ammunition with wide-area impact;
5⃣ Preventing evacuation of civilians;
6⃣ Murders and tortures of Russian POWs.

❗️ В Дании в ходе подготовки нового межпартийного соглашения по вопросам обороны инициирована дискуссия о целесообразности приобретения для датских вооруженных сил крылатых ракет «Томагавк». При этом без оглядки на возможные последствия безответственно заявляется о том, что такие системы должны быть в распоряжении Дании для «возможного нанесения удара по Красной площади в Москве».
⚡️ Создание со стороны Дании угроз для безопасности России не останется без ответа. Будут приняты адекватные ответные меры военно-технического характера.
❌ В результате таких возможных шагов со стороны Дании безопасность в регионе лишь деградирует, а перспективы восстановления какого-либо конструктивного диалога между нашими странами в будущем станут еще более призрачными.

Helt uansvarligt taler man uden hensyntagen til mulige konsekvenser, at sådanne systemer bør stå til Danmarks rådighed for at ”kunne ramme Den Røde Plads i Moskva."
⚡️ Det at Danmark skaber trusler mod Ruslands sikkerhed, vil ikke forblive ubesvaret. Der vil blive truffet passende indsatsforanstaltninger af militærteknisk karakter.
❌ Som følge af sådanne mulige tiltag fra Danmarks side vil sikkerheden i regionen kun forværre, og udsigterne til at genoprette en eventuel konstruktiv dialog mellem vores lande i fremtiden vil blive endnu mere illusorisk.

💬 I believe that the exceptionalism and the absolute conviction in their own infallibility and superiority is the main reason why we are now opposing the countries that are using the Kiev regime to wage a hybrid war against us, although not exactly a hybrid war.
🔸 The United States and all other Westerners, whom the Americans have brought to the heel thus stripping the EU of the remaining attributes of independence, are widely known as “grand democrats.” However, discussions about democratic approaches to international issues leave them impassive.
❗️ The US have discarded all their principles at the snap of a finger, principles like the inviolability of private property, presumption of innocence, good-faith competition, market mechanisms, etc., which they were cultivating and imposing on others for decades as part of the globalisation package.
🔸 The current talk about transitioning to national currencies is not accidental. Who knows what side of the bed the US president will wake up on tomorrow, or who he will see as “unsympathetic.”
🔸 There are many who want to scare us with China. In my opinion, this is a game based on wanting to prevent us from cooperating and coordinating our positions in the economy or international affairs. There is no doubt that the plans signed by Russia and the PRC meet the interests of both Moscow and Beijing.
☝️ What matters at this point is not the time but the essence, the quality of results we will ensure for our people and those who want to remain part of Russian culture – the Kiev junta, with the West’s encouragement, was depriving them of all things Russian for many years.

🔹Ukrainian armed forces did not just target civil facilities, but the infrastructure that is meant to support and ensure the wellbeing of children.
☝️ All facts of the criminal outrage that Ukrainian armed forces commit under Western supervision. None of those will go unpunished.
🔹Taking into account the huge scale of Kiev’s crimes, it becomes increasingly harder for international human rights organizations who at least pretend to be objective, to disregard these offenses.

❗️ Российские спасатели и военные помогают в ликвидации последствий землетрясения в Турции и Сирии.
🤝 После ЧП Президент России Владимир Путин предложил помощь лидерам стран Реджепу Тайипу Эрдогану и Башару Асаду. Руководители обоих пострадавших государств приняли российское предложение.
🔹Российская группировка войск в Сирии приступила к оказанию помощи в ликвидации последствий произошедшего землетрясения. Из числа военнослужащих российской группировки сформированы 10 сводных отрядов. Они занимаются разбором завалов, поиском пострадавших и оказанием им медицинской помощи в районах, подвергшихся наибольшему разрушению. Так, российские военные задействованы в городах Алеппо, Хама, Латакия и других.
🔹 К работам в Сирии привлечены свыше 300 военнослужащих и 60 единиц военной и специальной техники.
🔹 В Турцию для оказания помощи в ликвидации последствий землетрясения прибыли более 100 российских спасателей. Они направлены в горный труднодоступный район, пострадавший от стихии – Кахраманмараж. В аэромобильную группировку вошли отряд спасателей международного класса "Центроспас", имеющий опыт спасательных работ по всему миру, и кинологи.
В зоне ЧС развернут аэромобильный госпиталь с терапевтическим, операционным и реанимационным блоками.
🔹Мусульмане России выразили соболезнования народам Сирии и Турции и организовали сбор средств для помощи пострадавшим от землетрясения.

We have noted that they did not try to hide this, boasting before the world of their ability to destroy civilian infrastructure via which Europe received Russian energy resources.
We also regularly noted the reluctance of Denmark, Germany and Sweden to conduct an open investigation and their objections to Russia’s participation in it, although our country sustained enormous losses due to this incident.
Now the White House needs to comment on these facts.

В сети Интернет появилось ещё одно свидетельство вопиющих военных преступлений киевского режима. Речь идет о видеозаписи, на которой украинский неонацист в упор расстреливает из автомата в голову лежащего на земле с поднятыми руками российского военнопленного, выкрикивая нацистское приветствие «слава Украине». Всего предположительно было расстреляно трое военнопленных.
☝️ Мы неоднократно привлекали внимание международного сообщества и профильных организаций к военным преступлениям Киева, заявляли о несоблюдении украинскими властями международного гуманитарного права.
Очередной расстрел российских военнопленных в значительной мере лежит на совести западных кураторов Киева, которые создали этот нацистский режим, вырастили поколение украинцев, одержимых идеей ненависти и национального превосходства.
