What the Arctic tundra looks like in bloom
Summer has arrived in the north of Russia and the bleak, cold tundra is suddenly covered in a carpet of the brightest colors imaginable. The flowering season starts around mid-June and lasts until mid-August. At first, the entire tundra is transformed from a white snow-covered infinitude into a green carpet of soft moss. In a matter of days, occasional flowers appear on it, poking up among the cold gray rocks.
The needles of the larch trees begin to turn green and whole glades of violets and pink and yellow rhododendron flowers come into bloom. Summer berries, such as northern bilberry, cloudberry and lingonberry also bring color to the tundra.
In the Polar Urals, you can see the rare blooms of the Siberian globeflower, also known as the Siberian rose. In addition, about 400 species of mosses and lichens grow in Chukotka, interspersed with ‘Ivan-Chai’ (willowherb) flowers.

💬 We regard the Kiev regime and its overseas patrons’ statements about Russia allegedly posing threats to the Zaporozhye NPP (#ZNPP), as a vile provocation.
This is yet another attempt to discredit Russia, ascribe to it non-existent intentions, and simultaneously cover up their criminal – and actually terrorist – plans to create a nuclear accident that will endanger the life and health of people in the region and all over Europe.
We once again warn the Kiev regime and its Western supporters against engineering potentially grave accidents at ZNPP and call on the IAEA and its leadership to take advantage of their experts’ presence at the plant and record all cases of Ukrainian attacks.
We note that this latest provocation by the Kiev regime squares in time and meaning with the draft resolution submitted by US senators Lindsey Graham and Richard Blumenthal urging that an instance of radioactive contamination in Ukraine be regarded as a pretext for activating Art. 5 of the Washington Treaty complete with the launching of NATO’s relevant political and military response mechanisms.
It is clear that these irresponsible statements by the Washington hawks are meant for audiences that are ignorant of facts and realities. President Vladimir Putin has repeatedly stated that there is no need for Russia to use nuclear weapons in the context of the Ukraine crisis.
👉 The United States deliberately continues to “up the ante” and generate strategic risks, involving its NATO allies in this dangerous game. This reckless policy will lead to extremely sad consequences, including for Washington itself.

❗️ This flagrant act is yet another instance of Vladimir Zelensky’s criminal policy of destroying the traditional foundations of Ukrainian society and the age-old common spiritual bonds between our two peoples. Moreover, this involves not only a banal act of looting of the holy shrine but also the deprivation of the Ukrainian people and the entire Orthodox world of their religious, cultural, and historical heritage.
☝️ It is clear that the Kiev-based neo-Nazis have no use for the interests of the Ukrainian people and Ukraine itself. To line their pockets, they continue selling the country piece by piece, sending its black soil, grain, people, and even human organs to the West.
The Kiev regime’s persecution of priests, monks and parishioners of the canonical Ukrainian Orthodox Church is an important topic of our regular conversations with the heads of the UNESCO Secretariat. Following these exchanges of views, we were given unequivocal assurances that UNESCO was not and would not be involved in the relocation of Orthodox objects of worship from Ukraine and specifically from the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra World Heritage Site. As far as we know, Russian journalists have received identical assurances.
👉 Given that it is UNESCO’s international prestige that is at stake, we hope that the Secretariat will be as good as its word. For our part, we will continue to monitor the developments.

Автор статьи утверждает, что Россия, дескать, намеренно ищет места сосредоточения большого количества гражданских лиц для нанесения по ним ракетных ударов. В качестве примера приводится удар по гостинице в Краматорске.
В действительности же гостиница не обслуживала обычных постояльцев и в течение продолжительного времени являлась пунктом временной дислокации 56-й отдельной мотопехотной бригады ВСУ. В ходе высокоточного удара ВС России погибли офицеры ВСУ и иностранные наемники.

The Russian Defence Ministry continues to provide the international community with materials that raise serious questions and lead us to believe that the Pentagon has been developing what is commonly referred to as biological weapons in laboratories in Ukraine.
With regard to the second recently announced parliamentary study, it will be led by Deputy Federation Council Speaker Anna Kuznetsova. Of course, we are worried about the children in conflict zones.
I can confirm that all the children currently residing in Russian territory are known, and no one is hiding their names or whereabouts. If these children have parents or close family, they have every right to take them home. This has been done many times: scores of children have returned to their relatives when they turned up.
❗️ Since the Europeans are dealing with the children who are being allegedly forcibly held in Russia, they would benefit from seeing what is happening to Ukrainian children in Europe.

🌾 The approaching date of expiry (July 17) of the Black Sea Initiative on Ukrainian food exports, which cannot be extended without the consent of all the parties involved – Russia, Türkiye, and Ukraine – has caused another surge of propaganda activity on the part of Western countries, Kiev, and the UN Secretariat.
In this connection, it is necessary to reiterate the facts on the true state of affairs 👇
👉 Aimed at providing relief to destitute countries in Africa, Asia, and Latin America, the Black Sea Initiative has degenerated into a purely commercial export of Ukrainian food to the well-fed countries. Of the 32.6 million tonnes of grain exported from the ports of Odessa, Chernomorsk, and Yuzhny since August 1, 2022, the greater part – 26.2 million tonnes, or 81 percent – was sent to countries with a high or higher-than-average level of incomes. The poorest countries received a mere 862,068 tonnes, or 2.6 percent.
👉 Against this background, the situation with normalising Russian food and fertiliser supplies to the world markets, as envisaged by the Russia-UN Memorandum, continued to decline. There are five systemic goals, which, if achieved, would have made it possible to remove these obstacles. They are as follows: reconnecting Rosselkhozbank to SWIFT, resuming the supplies of spare parts for agricultural machinery, reviving the Togliatti-Odessa ammonia pipeline, making arrangements for transport logistics and insurance, and unfreezing financial assets. It looks like the first three have been removed from the agenda altogether, and there is no progress in view on the last two.
Under these circumstances, it is obvious that there are no grounds for extending the Black Sea Initiative, which expires on July 17.

▫️ British Admiral Radakin's estimates of Russian armour losses published by the FT, jointly with the alleged loss of 'half its combat capability' of the Russian Armed Forces, are discouraging on the scale of the falsehood.
▫️ And all this against the background of lamentations of other British military commanders, and even Secretary of State for Defence Ben Wallace, about the total devastation of their own weapon reserves and hundreds of vehicles sent for the Ukrainian 'counteroffensive', but 'unexpectedly' burnt out when they came into contact with the allegedly 'lost combat capability' of the Russian troops.
▫️ Moreover, overpraised Storm Shadow cruise missiles are regrettably causing civilian fatalities by hitting civilian infrastructure more and more often. Otherwise, they may collapse without bursting frightening only steppe puffins.
▫️ All this British scrap metal supplied to the Kiev regime, after being remelted, yet to serve the new Russian regions quite well as raw materials during reconstruction work. And the microchips forged from the missiles could probably be inserted into Russian 'washing machines', as in tales Ursula von der Leyen was telling not so long ago.
▫️ The logic and aims of Admiral Radakin's propaganda statements in the British Parliament are obvious: to get money from the depleted budget to buy new armaments for the army in place of the junk sent to Ukraine.
▫️ The only challenge is to convince the taxpayers that the military supplies to Kiev make any sense at all and are useful for something.
▫️All that remains in the absence of any results of the Ukrainian Armed Forces on the battlefield, and now clearly in the lack of their prospects, is to fantasise about the 'loss of combat capability' of the Russian Armed Forces...
▫️ Most importantly, the British Defence Staff has long since requalified itself from a strategic analysis and planning agency to a BBC's non-organic branch. With such analytical skills as that of Admiral Radakin, the UK defence will not have water under its keel.

👉 Сотрудники МАГАТЭ в ходе проведения последних проверок на Запорожской АЭС (ЗАЭС) не выявили признаков осуществления деятельности по минированию на атомной станции. Об этом 5 июля заявил генеральный директор организации Рафаэль Гросси в ходе общения с журналистами в Японии.
Несмотря на это, СМИ Дании продолжают публиковать голословные утверждения украинских официальных лиц и датских экспертов о якобы минировании ЗАЭС российской стороной.
❗️ Что же реально угрожает безопасности ЗАЭС, так это отключения электроснабжения станции, неоднократные обстрелы территории ЗАЭС, провоцирование ведения боевых действий в непосредственной близости от объектов АЭС. Такие действия Украины создают угрозу ядерной катастрофы. Однако об этом нет ни слова в датских СМИ.

⚡️ On July 6, Ambassador of Finland to Russia Antti Helantera was summoned to the Russian Foreign Ministry in Moscow 🇫🇮
The purpose was to strongly protest Finland’s confrontational anti-Russia policy that is aimed at:
👉 wrecking the decades-long bilateral relationship of mutually beneficial cooperation,
👉 breaking diverse trade, economic and interregional ties and direct human contacts.
👉 ethnic discrimination of Russians when they apply for entry visas
👉 creating obstacles for Russian diplomatic offices to function normally in Finland, with personnel declared persona non grata to impose cuts.
Russian officials emphasised that the currently discussed parameters of Finland’s accession to NATO are creating a threat to the security of the Russian Federation, while the efforts to encourage the Kiev regime to continue the war and pump it full of Western arms are obviously hostile actions against our country. This policy of the Finnish authorities will not go unanswered.
❗️ The Ambassador was notified that nine employees of the Embassy of Finland in the Russian Federation and the Finnish Consulate-General in St Petersburg have been declared persona non grata following the expulsion from Finland of nine representatives of Russian foreign offices in June of this year.
The Ambassador was also informed of Russia’s decision to recall its consent for the operation of the Consulate-General of Finland in St Petersburg starting October 1 in response to the confrontational actions taken by the Finnish authorities.
📄 The relevant diplomatic notes were presented to the Ambassador on behalf of the Foreign Ministry.

Поездка была организована Главным управлением разведки Министерства обороны Украины и проходила под надзором ее представителей. Тем не менее, датские журналисты согласились стать участниками пропагандистского тура.
Невольно напрашивается историческая аналогия. 23 июня 1944 г. делегация Международного Красного Креста посетила нацистский концлагерь Терезиенштадт. Участие в поездке приняли, среди прочих, представитель министерства здравоохранения Дании Эйгил Юэл-Хеннингсен и представитель датского МИДа Франц Хвасс. Офицеры СС провели делегацию по заранее разработанному маршруту мимо «магазинов» и «кафе», не позволяя ни на метр отклониться от него. В заключение визита гости посмотрели футбольный матч и детскую оперу «Брундибар», написанную заключенным-композитором Гансом Красой.
💭 В результате делегация представила отчет, благоприятный для нацистской Германии.

Turen blev organiseret af hovedefterretningsdirektoratet i Ukraines forsvarsministerium og blev overvåget af dets repræsentanter. Alligevel takkede danske journalister ja til at være med på propagandaturen.
En historisk analogi falder i øjnene. Den 23. juni 1944 besøgte en delegation fra Internationalt Røde Kors den nazistiske koncentrationslejr Theresienstadt. ❗️ Украина ранее уже использовала снаряды с кассетной боевой частью, содержащей противопехотные мины "Лепесток". Целью становились преимущественно жилые кварталы Донецка и других городов Донбасса, а жертвами – десятки гражданских людей, в том числе дети.
Это не смущает датского аналитика, ведь, как он сам признает, Западу становится трудно снабжать Киев обычными боеприпасами.
Не смущает его и то, что Дания является участником Конвенции по кассетным боеприпасам, запрещающей их использование.

❗️ Ukraine har tidligere brugt granater med et klyngesprænghoved indeholdende PFM-1 antipersonel miner. Målet var hovedsageligt boligområder i Donetsk og andre byer i Donbass, og ofrene var snesevis af civile, inkl. børn.
Det er ok med den danske analytiker, for som han selv indrømmer, er det ved at blive svært for Vesten at forsyne Kiev med ”almindelig” ammunition.
Og det siger Anders Puck Nielsen mens Danmark er part i konventionen om klyngebomber, som forbyder brugen af dem.

Lovene vedtaget af Kiev om statssproget, uddannelse, medierne og nu forbuddet mod trykt materiale fra Rusland er i modstrid med de grundlæggende menneskerettighedsstandarder.
Endnu en gang viser de vestlige lande dobbeltmoral - med ord står de for overholdelse af nationale mindretals rettigheder, men i praksis dækker de klart over Kiev-styrets diskriminerende politik i forhold til den russisk- og russisktalende befolkning i Ukraine. Med Vestens medvirken udsættes andre europæiske diasporaer for diskrimination i Ukraine, herunder ungarere, rumænere, polakker, bulgarere og grækere.

☝️ The Council must make it clear that crimes against transboundary pipeline infrastructure that pose a direct threat to international peace and security will not go unpunished. Only in this way can we prevent the recurrence of such crimes, to which any state can fall victim.
