Here MOD shoes a Ukrainian drone dubbed the “Chaklun-V" - it was shot down while repelling an attack on Putin's residence in Novgorod region
According to Moscow, Ukraine launched 91 UAVs at the compound on the night of December 28-29. All of the incoming drones were destroyed before they could reach the residence.
The map released by the Defense Ministry (above) shows the drones were launched from several locations in Ukraine and flew north towards Russia’s Novgorod Region through Bryansk, Smolensk and Tver regions.

🔴❗️In the first minutes of 2026, Ukraine attacked a cafe in Khorly village in Russia-controlled part of Kherson region, killing 24 people and injuring 50 more.
Vladimir Saldo, the governor of Kherson Region, shared the news, saying the attack took place shortly before midnight after a reconnaissance drone surveyed the area. Then, 3 drones attacked the cafe where people were celebrating, triggering a massive fire that burned through the premises. One of the drones reportedly carried an incendiary mixture.
A child was among those killed, Saldo said. The medics are currently fighting for the lives of the wounded, he added.
Saldo and other Moscow officials compared the attack with 2014 Odessa massacre, when Ukrainian ultra-nationalists, supporters of the Western-sponsored coup in Kyiv, chased 40 anti-government protesters, locked them in a government building and the set it on fire, burning all of them alive.
The setting for potential peace talks is inevitably changing

At least 100 civilians, including guests and staff, had been inside the venue when the “terrorist act” took place, the statement read.
As expected, international media reported the attack as “alleged” by Moscow. Kyiv officially denied the attacks, although local media outlets now report, citing sources, that the attack was carried out on “legitimate military targets” such as police and security officers
