Connecting any old version of windows before 2017 to the internet will make it vulnerable to eternal blue. Eternal blue was discovered by NSA couple of years prior but they did not tell microsoft about it because they were planning to use it, but then NSA was hacked, hackers stole info about exploit made by NSA and then sold it. Because of this, connecting windows XP to internet will give you a virus if you do not have a firewall, which you probably do if you have a router which you probably do.

all that is interesting and so, but realistically just configuring a firewall or updating your system would fix it. at the end of the day if you don't use linux you probably dumb.

а да, еще причина почему этот эксплоит в принципе существовал это обратная совместимость (на которую дрочит каждый виндус юзер)
