Practice here and now.

I often meet "spiritual" people who tell me "Yes, emptiness, but..." and then try to drag me into some "positive narrative" way of thinking.

No. No narratives. You want to experience emptiness without drugs? Dump the narratives.

Do compassionate things without narratives, everything you do, do it without narratives. The taste of emptiness is right there where your thoughts completely end. It tastes half like daydream and half like vertigo. Probably don't want to be standing up the first time you turn and look inside.

That's one of the secrets, by the way, part of it: turning and looking inside. You have to turn without physically moving and shift your vision out of your physical eyes. So when hindus, buddhists etc say you must look within, that is not a metaphor, it's quite literal.

Não é possível vê-lo de nenhum modo porque ele está completamente coberto com cinco peças de vestuário. É o mesmo com a mente. A mente está completamente coberta pela visão, audição, olfato, paladar e tato, e assim as pessoas não a conhecem. As pessoas apenas conhecem o vestuário. Ao verem o Imperador, elas só vêm as vestimentas. Elas não sabem o que há dentro. E assim não é de admirar que estejam confusas sobre o que é a vida, o que é a mente, o que é isto aqui dentro, de onde eu vim? Por que? O que eu deveria estar fazendo com esta vida? Quando os cinco sentidos desaparecem é como tirar a roupa do Imperador e ver o que realmente há ali dentro, o que está realmente comandando o espetáculo, quem está ouvindo estas palavras, quem está vendo, quem está sentindo a vida, o que é isso. Quando os cinco sentidos desaparecem estamos nos aproximando das respostas a essas perguntas."
