The initiative is called «Young Summer» (Verano Joven). Thanks to it, you can save 50% on tickets for AVE, Avlo, Alvia, Avant, Intercity and Euromed trains. Media Distancia and Adif passengers will receive a large discount.

Renfe has allowed dogs weighing up to 40 kg on AVE trains from Madrid to Alicante and from Madrid to Valencia. The rule goes into effect for the first route on June 19 and for the second on June 26. The company also provides a travel kit (including a seat cover and floor mat), which must be picked up at the station at least 40 minutes before boarding.
The city has begun demolishing Camp Nou Stadium and will build a new stadium in its place. It will be roomier, safer, more comfortable and modern.
What are we doing in the shadows? Not much, because there aren't a lot of places in the city with comfortable shade. That's why the city council recently announced a competition to find innovative solutions for creating shade in public spaces. It's open to individuals, companies, or foundations.

Tourist guide for introverts: 6 places in Catalonia that tourists don't get to
Catalonia is regularly becoming the most visited region of Spain. In the first 3 months of 2023 alone, it welcomed about 4.29 million people. There are many towns and parks where you can hide. Let us tell you about 3 of these places!
Montseny
It takes only an hour to get from Barcelona to the southernmost part of Montseny, which is both a nature park and a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve. It is difficult to get to it by public transport, so there are not many people here.
The park covers 50,000 hectares and has more than 30 trails for walking inside. Even though the park welcomes 2 million people a year, it doesn't feel like it. Most of the park is forested, and it's cool in the summer. There are many small waterfalls and streams. It is especially beautiful here in the fall! All the trees take on crimson, amber and mustard hues.
Penedès
Penedès is situated in the hills above the coastal towns. It is the main wine-producing region of Catalonia, responsible for the production of cava. Although this makes it popular, tourists usually only visit a couple of key towns. Mostly tourists go to the famous cava producers in San Sadurni d'Anoia and Vilafranca del Penedès.
But if you skip these places and visit lesser-known villages like Castelvi de la Marca, Subirats or Avignone del Penedes, you'll find that it's very quiet. One of the fun things to do is to walk through the countryside through the vineyards, stopping for tastings at independent wineries.
L'Arboç
This town, located southwest of Penedes, is only a 2-hour train ride away. There is an exact replica of the famous Giralda Tower, only half the size.
A short walk and here you are at the reservoir Pantà del Foix, a green lake surrounded by steep hills covered with forest. On the lake's shore is the tiny village of Castellet i la Gornal and a 10th-century castle. It's only crowded at weekends and on holidays, when people from neighboring towns come here.

Authorities say VAT will remain low until the price level becomes acceptable. Recall that lowering VAT is a measure to fight inflation. For example, some time ago the tax on bread, milk, cheese, eggs, fruit, vegetables and cereals was reduced from four to 0%, and on butter and pasta from 10 to 5%.

Arauna Studio has developed a new image for the streets of Barcelona that:
a) make the city more beautiful;
b) make the streets more convenient for pedestrians.
The visual narrative is based on the language of the city and its traditions. It takes and transforms asphalt from a cold material into a warm and attractive canvas. The design team was inspired by the traditional Barcelona paving, also known as panot. The result is a flexible graphic code that easily adapts to the diverse needs and conditions of the urban space.
What is the idea behind the drawings on the pavement? A good question!
In many areas of Barcelona, air and acoustic pollution levels exceed WHO standards. The pace of urban life and the traffic on the roads makes it impossible to travel safely, and there are fewer places to relax in the city. Arauna Studio offers a quick and inexpensive way to transform the street into a comfortable space for people. How? By applying bright markings and drawings to the asphalt.

Air Europa pilots in Spain have begun a two-week strike over a wage dispute. Previous negotiations have gone nowhere, pilots claim that the company has not fulfilled the terms of a prior agreement.
Ryanair banned alcohol from Duty Free on flights to Spain. The airline hopes to reduce the number of noisy passengers, although so far only on flights UK > Spain.
Drivers of private transport companies, cab services and car rental companies have been on strike at airports since July because of the high waiting times for passengers at the airport. Some drivers spend about 40€ a day for about 7 airport pickups when they have to wait up to 45 minutes for passengers.

Public transportation will run on a special schedule today, St. Juan’s night. Trains will run non-stop from 5 a.m. Friday to 00:00 a.m. Sunday night. Streetcars and trains will also run longer.
Spain has launched a new digital ID card for rental cars. It will have a QR-code which, when scanned, will tell all about the car, license, and rental company. The card will help save at least 6,000 cars from theft and help police quickly get information about the car.

Is it possible in Spain to camp on the beach and spend the night under the stars, under the sound of waves?
No, wild camping on the beach is forbidden in Spain. The authorities are not sorry, they are rather worried about health and safety, yours and the environment. However, there are two options.
The first is to ask for a special permit from the local authorities. Keep in mind that according to the Federation of Entrepreneurs in Camping (FEEC), local authorities rarely give such a permit unless you have a special reason or need to camp on the beach, such as for environmental research. Just camping on the beach for tourism will not be allowed.
Second: Campers have more freedom. They, too, are not allowed to park anywhere, but they can park in approved areas. They're not allowed to camp either, but if you do it carefully and make it look like you just parked, you can.
The traffic regulations prohibit camping within 20 meters of the beach in urban areas or 100 meters in rural areas. So you can park elsewhere!
There are about a hundred campsites all over Spain. Some are along the coast and some are right next to the beach. Where to look for them? Here's a map with campsites and here's another one.
