More than 1/3 of the food ends up in the trash

At Too Good To Go, you can buy food from a restaurant nearby at a discounted price. Not just food, but groceries and desserts that didn’t make the day’s sale.
Works like a regular food ordering app. You can buy food at a time designated by the restaurant.

The bag with food is called Surprise Bag, each of them saves 2.5 kg of carbon dioxide — as much as it takes to charge 440 smartphones. If you are an eco-conscious owner of a café, bakery, pub or hotel, you can sell off leftovers through the app and increase the visibility of your business.

Three villages outside Spain⚡️

Spain has completed 2022 grandly, with three of its villages included in the ranking of the best villages for tourism around the world, compiled by the UN World Tourism Organization.

> Rupit, where streets and houses carved in stone surround a 10th-century castle. Сome here for the spirit of the Middle Ages, this place used to be a crossroads of the main Roman roads. Come and see the wooden suspension bridge and walk through the Collsacabra protected area.

> Alquesar is located on a limestone ledge. The settlement here was formed around a medieval castle. Walking through the narrow streets, you’ll find the rugged Sierra y Cañones de Gura Natural Park, where you can parachute and rock climb.

> The third place is Guadalupe in the Extremadura region. The village is known for its monastery of Santa Maria de Guadalupe. The place is also famous for its cuisine: Iberian sausages, cold soup «Ahoblanco» and chicken with peppers and tomatoes.

Next year (in its first half) a gastronomic market from Time Out will open in Barcelona 🌮

The food and cultural market will gather under one roof all the best that the Catalan capital is known for. It is based on a simple idea: the editors and experts of Time Out choose the best food, drinks and cultural events that the city offers, and then gather them together and make them available to everyone. By the way, you can go to such a market in Lisbon.

The location has been chosen as the observation deck of the Maremagnum shopping center. There will be 14 different cuisines, 1 full restaurant, 2 bars inside and 2 outside overlooking the city.

Digital Nomad, get ready! The visa will be finally implemented soon, but in the meantime there's time to get ready ⚡️

Basic conditions and requirements:
• Freelancer must have working contracts with companies outside of Spain (Spanish can be no more than 20%) and employee must have a contract with a company not registered in Spain. Plus 3 years of experience and education.
• The company must exist at least a year, not be registered in Spain, you must work in it for at least 3 months.
• You need a written proof that you have been working remotely for one year.
• It is possible to apply for a visa from inside the country, the main thing is to be in the country legally. Even with a tourist visa. If you apply from within the country, you will get a residence permit for 3 years, if you apply from the consulate — for 1 year. Family members can also get a visa.
• You cannot have residency status. At least six months must be in the country.
• Requires insurance from an accredited company with coverage throughout Spain, a certificate of no criminal record with an apostille, certified translation into Spanish and valid for 90 days and an address within the country and documents, such as a rental agreement. Link to the official list of required documents.
• Income of more than 2 minimum wages. At the moment it's more than 2200€ per person, before taxes. A family of 3 would need about €3,675.

The main (potential) disadvantage of the visa and the issue that is still being discussed is the tax percentage. With the benefit the tax will be 15%, but rumor has it could be 24% (that's for income up to €600k a year, and 47% if higher).

Good morning Spanish! Got some news for today 🔖

Travelling by train across the EU will become faster and cheaper thanks to new green transport rules. This will be helped not only by funding, but also by better coordination, regulation and promotion of rail services. In the future, trains are planned to connect Germany, Denmark and Sweden, to launch a night train from Paris to Venice and from Amsterdam to Barcelona.

Do you blame yourself for sometimes buying clothes that don't fit? It happens; there's a story of unwise spending on a larger scale. Two Spanish tourism bosses spent 258 million euros on trains that turned out to be too big for the tunnels. Before they realized their «embarrassing blunder» they had managed to order dozens of new trains. Better yet, they should have bought jeans one size smaller.
