🇧🇷⚠️ — War in communities in Rio de Janeiro over territorial dispute between bandits has lasted about 10 days and had a night of terror. Resume below:
• The clashes began last week, sometimes between rival factions, sometimes between criminals and security forces.
• Communities in the West Zone of Rio are mostly dominated by the militia. Cidade de Deus is an exception and has been under the thumb of the Comando Vermelho drug dealers for years.
• The police identified a movement of drug traffickers to take over some of these areas from the militia: Muzema, Gardênia Azul and even Rio das Pedras.
• Cidade de Deus would be the “HQ”, and Morro do Banco, the “advanced base” of the invasion;
• This Tuesday, the police went to Cidade de Deus, and there was a confrontation;
