🇧🇷☢️💥🚩— After being fined for an error of excessive dumping of water contaminated with radioactive substances into the sea, Eletronuclear, the Brazilian state-owned company responsible for generating nuclear energy in the country, puts into conflict the public investment of the Lula government in the generation of nuclear energy in Brazil
The two Brazilian nuclear power plants (Angra 1 and 2) account for about 2% of the electricity generation produced in the country. However, in the last 6 years, several partnerships have been made for the construction of several nuclear power plants in Brazil until 2031 (Angra 3, 4 and HYPER 5).
However, with the change of government and instances, the agreements were "frozen" and several members of the Lula government differ on the application of nuclear investment, since the current government has methods to follow European exclusionary energy policies.
