🇧🇷🚩💥⛏🌳 — Indigenous peoples, researchers and investigators allege that the largest criminal faction on the continent, the Primeiro Comando da Capital (PCC), acts as the “supervisor” of illegal mining in Yanomami lands, in Roraima
The members of the PCC would be responsible for supplying inputs and machines for the mining activity, for controlling drug trafficking and prostitution in the small villages, called “currutelas”.

The PCC's main interest in Roraima would be border control, to transport drugs and weapons. “Actions in the mining zone are based more on the idea of controlling the territory, operating as an armed arm of illegal mining,” says a report by the Brazilian Public Security Forum (FBSP).
