"Why does this registration exist? Hunting licenses? This is medieval. In this day and age, it borders on sadism. Currently, only subsistence hunting (for traditional communities) and hunting of wild boars for population control are allowed. This control should be done by the State and not by hunters. Hunting has been completely corrupted to serve as a pretext for the circulation of weapons throughout the country," she questioned without presenting evidence.

Currently, hunters have their own resources to promote animal control and follow a series of regulations to do so legally. "I dare say that hunters are the largest voluntary group of people focused on removing an environmental problem in Brazil," said the president of Brazilian Association of Hunters to criticize the government's actions.
