The future of AI in Africa will not be written only in Silicon Valley. It will be written in Addis Ababa, in Nairobi, in Lagos, in Cairo, in Accra, in Cape Town, and across every village and every city on our continent. So do not wait to be invited into the future. You must take charge and build it.
AI can make government more efficient, transparent, and responsive. Young technologists, such as yourself, can contribute to civic tech, development tech solutions, and digital public goods that strengthen service delivery in health, education, sanitation, and disaster management, among others.

Design is often reduced to how things look (logos, posters, colors, UI). But it is much bigger than that. whether visual or not; design is intention, it is the shaping of experiences, systems, tools, communication, and feeling.
Unlike static visuals, motion design introduces a non-spatial dimension: time! This includes rhythm, pacing, continuity, and change. In his first talk ever, we'll break down what it means to design in time, and touch on a couple of basic animation principles that make motion feel so yummy.
