On certain revisions of lancelot and merlin devices, system freezes when enabling Wi-Fi. This issue is only present with connectivity drivers from LineageOS kernel. Throughout my experience, I've encountered a few people with this problem, in other words, this issue does not affect the vast majority of users. Alternative connectivity drivers are available that do not cause this problem, however, they result in a Wi-Fi speed regression of approximately 10%.

The obvious solution would be to roll back to the default connectivity drivers from LineageOS kernel. However, my kernel is used in various ROMs, and some users would encounter non-functionality of crucial functionality, which would be unacceptable.
