So many people, who live in countries that do not border Russia, seem to have a very hard time understanding why they’re hated. Let me enlighten you.

1. Russia has throughout its existence aimed to subjugate its neighbours and at times succeeded in that for decades. The USSR is just the latest major example.

2. Russia has never stopped being like that. Case in point Georgia, Ukraine and Belarus. Not to forget the constant agitation towards the Baltic counties.

3. Russians and I mean the vast majority of them, are extremely arrogant when living in or visiting these countries. Running about as if they own the palace. Trying to bribe their way in society, even in Western European countries.

4. The majority Russians refuse to integrate. Like Arabs and other non European folks invading our lands, Russians will also gladly move to a country, use their benefits and never do much else. They’ll only speak Russian, only watch Russian news, listen to Kremlin propaganda and abide by it.

5. There’s a lot of talk about productive Russians leaving Russia now. Sure some are good people but the vast majority of those who’ve left now still act the same way and will always be a problem. The good smart Russians are far and few between. The good ones left before the Bolshevik revolution.

5. Even if Putin went up in smoke today the next guy in line will with 99.9% certainty be no different. The system of that country and the culture it’s fostered is so corrupt and broken it cannot be saved. A new leader in Russia will merely put a halt to things for a bit, only for the same issues to arise 20-30 years later.

The only long term solution for every country next to Russia, and for Europe as a whole to be honest, is if Russia as we know it breaks up and ends up in the dustbin of history. Alternatively all Russian land west of the Ural Mountains should be collectively confiscated by Europeans and turned into a giant nature reserve. Leave the Russians to do their thing in the east where they can dock around as much as they want.

Considering that the latter is almost impossible to do, we’re left with having to utterly destroy Russia as we know it. It has to break up and disappear for the sake of this old continent. Otherwise it will always come back and cause chaos.

Somewhat agreed except for the part of Russia breaking up by itself.

No destabilisation or crisis happens by itself, there's always a foreign power behind it. China sees Russia as frenemy, but still wants to drain their resources and take little bit of territory by playing demographic wars. The West isn't interested in Russia's break up, almost no difference to China except that they don't want any new territories.

However, counties like Ukraine, Poland, Baltics, Caucasus can make it happen with enough effort put in. That doesn't mean it will happen tomorrow, in a month, a year, not that fast. It takes a long way to subvert entire population into one agenda. In short, imagine if Yuri Bezmonov is already working in Russia for the cause of Ukraine.

Little known fact: Russia, despite being 1% of total investments in African continent, makes up 40% of all arms sales.
