In Russia, a migrant nanny from Uzbekistan killed a child — she was released from the courtroom.
In St. Petersburg, a man and a woman left their child with a 24-year-old illegal migrant from Uzbekistan, Sevincha Abdurasulova. The child's tolerant father asked to close the case due to reconciliation of the parties. The migrant apologized to him and paid 170 thousand rubles ~ 2 thousand dollars, which suited the man just fine. But the prosecutor's office did not agree with such arguments. The court found the nanny guilty and sentenced her to only one year in a penal colony for the murder of the baby. Taking into account the time she spent in the pretrial detention facility, she has already served her sentence and is now free.

I rarely make commentary regarding the front line, however this one needs to be addressed due to it's unique situation.
The Russians did not expect to breakthrough, and due to naive belief of quick success, at the very least 2 brigades were cut off and tactically (or even fully) encircled. A very positive outcome for Ukraine, given what I'm going to write down below.
And while we can shit and laugh at Russians for failing to swallow more than they can chew and failing to solve logistical situation, there's undeniably a giant problem inside Ukrainian Army. We are talking about the local command, platoon battalion commanders, who received their positions due to Soviet nepotism, that has carried over to modern time. This must be eradicated from the military, because the next time we will not be so lucky.

Energy prices in Germany are now lower than they were before Russia’s full-scale invasion in 2022.
Meanwhile, inside Russia, domestic energy prices have been climbing steadily — rising by 10–15% every year since 2022.
The reason is simple: when Russia cut off gas supplies to Europe, Gazprom lost its biggest source of foreign revenue.
For years, Moscow had used Europe’s money to subsidize cheap energy at home. But after weaponizing gas, that cross-subsidy is gone — and ordinary Russians are left footing the bill.
Meanwhile, inside Russia, domestic energy prices have been climbing steadily — rising by 10–15% every year since 2022.

In 243 days (8 months) Russia lost 281550 men killed, wounded, and missing.
- 86744 killed, including 1,583 officers and 8633 prisoners;
- 33966 missing, including 11427 prisoners;
- 158529 wounded, including 6356 officers and 16489 prisoners;
- 2311 captured.
13145 units of military equipment losses with 13145 irretrievable, while 48458 theoretically recoverable.
Average monthly losses are 35193 personnel and 7700 units of equipment, of which 1643 are irreparable.
