Russian troops continue fighting in the #Bakhmut and #Soledar sectors. The Ukrainian command is moving reserves to deter the offensive of the RF Armed Forces.

♦️#Bakhmut Area:

▪️ Wagner PMC assault units have advanced through the AFU defence in #Opytnoye and southeast of #Bakhmut, pushing Ukrainian units back from the frontline. Street fighting is taking place in #Opytnoye.

▪️ There is also an assault on Ukrainian positions on the outskirts of #Kleshcheyevka, where formations of the 53rd Mechanized Brigade of the AFU are trying to stop the advance of the RF Armed Forces.

▪️ Squads of German and Czech mercenaries have arrived in the vicinity of #Bakhmut to reinforce the troop grouping, and units of the 57th AFU Mechanized Brigade have been moved to positions on the #Bakhmut - #Soledar highway.

▪️ An artillery battery of 11 units was transported by rail from #Pokrovsk. Additional platoon strongholds are being set up in #Ivanovskoye and ammunition is been delivered to the settlement.

♦️#Soledar Sector:

▪️ The RF Armed Forces have breached the AFU 10th Mountain Assault Brigade's defences in #Yakovlevka and occupied two platoon strong points (PS), and three GPs in #Belogorovka.

▪️ Ukrainian artillery units are firing barrage at #Yakovlevka and #Belogorovka, while mobile SAM teams are operating in the area east of #Soledar.

♦️#Toretsk (#Dzerzhinsk) Sector:

▪️ The RF Armed Forces are conducting an offensive at the #Shumy - #Novgorodskoye line. During the fighting, units of the 5th Assault Regiment of the AFU have abandoned a number of positions.

▪️ In the vicinity of #Pivnichnoye (#Kirovo), assault units of the 56th AFU Separate Motorized Infantry Brigade attempted to break the Russian defensive line, but the attack was repulsed and the 56th Brigade withdrew, losing 20 killed and wounded.

♦️#Lysychansk Sector:

The offensive of the RF Armed Forces on #Belogorovka continues. Fighting is taking place in the area of the settlement with artillery and aviation support.

⚡️🇷🇺🇺🇦💥 @Rybar: Consequences of the RF Armed Forces' strikes on a Factory in #KrivoyRog⚡️

Last night Russian troops launched a missile strike on infrastructure in #Dnipropetrovsk region. One of the incoming strikes hit the ArcelorMittal steel plant in Krivoy Rog.

Photographs circulated by Ukrainian channels show severe damage to the plant's repair shop. The company has a large fleet of diesel locomotives, as well as the necessary infrastructure to repair and maintain locomotives.

Our German colleagues @Ubersicht_Ukraine_Kanal wrote that the plant's operations were halted about a week ago after massive attacks on Ukraine's energy infrastructure.

▪️ ArcelorMittal Krivoy Rog (formerly Krivorozhstal) is a subsidiary of one of Arcelor's largest steelmaking companies. In September, we wrote that due to rising steel prices on the European market, other affiliates had to cut production by 80% and increase purchases of steel billets from Krivoy Rog. According to @fifthrepublic, the plant also produces components for French nuclear power plants.

🩸 Stopping the plant and destroying the repair shops not only undermines the logistics of the AFU, but also deprives the Ukrainian budget of a significant portion of revenues from the sale of steel products.

⚡️🇷🇺🇺🇦💡 @Rybar: The Strike on Novoudesskaya Substation in #Odessa Region⚡️

Several energy infrastructure facilities in the #Odessa region were hit during a day-long massive strike by the RF Armed Forces. One of them was the Novoodesskaya 330 substation near the village of #Myrnoye.

Judging by the photo, the missile definitely hit one of the two 330/110 kV autotransformers. A large fire broke out on the site and the device cannot be restored.

The strike on the Novoodesskaya substation will further complicate power supply to #Odessa. We recently detailed, see 👉 here, how previous missile attacks have cut off the region from power transfer from the South Ukraine NPP. Electricity comes only from the Ladyzhinskaya TPP in the #Vinnitsa region via the Moldavskaya TPP.

A strike on the Novovodesskaya substation along this route would severely hamper transit and prevent the Kiev authorities from stabilizing the supply situation in southern #Ukraine.
