◾Yesterday a quadcopter of our servicemen was lifted into the sky in Artemovsk (Bakhmut) direction for reconnaissance of the situation in the area of Ukrainian army positions. The operator of the quadcopter detected the movement of a group of the enemy along the landing, which is near the advanced positions of the AFU.

◾At first glance, it looked like the movement of a sabotage and reconnaissance group of seven people, so our drone operator decided to continue visual observation of the potential SRG. But soon it turned out that four AFU soldiers were leading three men in standard Ukrainian field uniforms to a firing squad. They chose an abandoned or spare trench as the place for the shootings, but they did not shoot them inside the trench, but on the surface.

◾Over the years, all of the AFU units have turned into Nazis themselves, and you don't need particularly rabid Right Sector people to shoot their "brothers-in-arms.

On the morning of 5 December, the Kiev regime attempted to attack by Soviet-made UAVs the military airfields at Dyagilevo in the Ryazan region and Engels in the Saratov region in an effort to disable Russian long-range aircraft.

◽️Russian air defence forces intercepted the Ukrainian UAVs as they were flying at a low altitude.

◽️The crash and explosion of the wreckage on the Russian airfields caused minor damage to the hull armour of the two airplanes.

◽️Three Russian maintenance personnel on the airfield suffered fatal injuries.
Another four servicemen wounded were taken to medical facilities where they were given all the necessary medical care.

◽️Despite attempts by the Kiev regime to disrupt the combat operations of Russian Long-Range Aviation by an act of terrorism, today at around 3 pm (Moscow time) the command and control system and related defense complex facilities, communication hubs, power plants, and military units of Ukraine were struck with high-precision long-range air and sea-based weapons.

The objective of the strike has been achieved. All of the designated 17 targets were engaged.

◽️The strike disrupted the transfer by rail of Ukrainian military reserves, foreign weapons, military equipment and ammunition to the areas of combat operations.

This morning, two explosions occurred at two airfields based on strategic aviation of the Russian Aerospace Forces in Engels and Ryazan. According to some reports, the Armed Forces of Ukraine struck with converted Tu-143 Strizh jet drones.

These are not the first such attacks, but in several respects they are very different from the previous ones.

▪️Range

Attacks on targets deep in the rear once again demonstrated the ability of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to hit targets in the deep rear at a great distance from the line of contact.

Yes, in October there was an attack on the Shaikovka airfield in the Kaluga region. But now the objects were more than 500 km away from the combat zone.

▪️Strategic nature of facilities and security measures

Ukrainian formations attacked airfields with nuclear weapons carriers. Ideally, measures to protect such objects should be at the highest level.

How were things in reality? Judging by recent commercial images from satellite operators, Tu-95MS and Tu-160 bombers in Engels are in a row in the same places. The photo did not show any semblance of gabions, or at least attempts to smash the planes apart from each other.

All this made expensive strategically important equipment a tasty target not even for a ballistic or cruise missile, but simply a kamikaze drone or even a drone with an improvised explosive device.

▪️Reputational costs

The strike on the airfields of nuclear weapons carriers is another crossing of the “line that cannot be crossed”. Western allies of Ukraine will carefully look at the reaction of the Russian Armed Forces and act in accordance with it. For example, in the issue of increasing military supplies and supplies to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

🔻What is the result?

Today's events have added to the list of similar attacks in recent months. So, in August, there was a powerful explosion at the Saki airfield in the Crimea and an attack by drones on objects of the Black Sea Fleet in Sevastopol, and in October there was a raid on the strategic aviation base in Shaikovka and penetration of the Veretye ​​air base in the Pskov region with the explosion of two Ka-52s.

What does today's raid have in common with them? Absolutely all of these episodes could have been prevented with the usual precautions and air defense cover. To do this, oddly enough, in many respects it was enough just to comply with the requirements of the relevant documents.

Surprisingly, after 10 months of the NMD, no conclusions were made on the issue of ensuring the security of such strategic facilities.

This leads to the fact that each time strikes are delivered to more and more significant targets. You can simply remember that the Tu-95MS is not produced in Russia at all, and the construction of just one Tu-160 takes several years. With the loss of such bombers, it will simply not be possible to compensate for the losses.

So what can finally play ahead of the curve and instead of photographic reports, take up the protection of military airfields? This is quite real, especially when looking at the level of security of a typical more or less large civil Russian airport. The only question is desire.

In the afternoon, Russian troops, supported by aviation, launched strikes against critical infrastructure in Ukraine. In some regions of the country, there were problems with electricity and water supply, as well as with communications.

🔻Kiev: a series of arrivals and explosions. Local residents reported on the work of air defense systems. Presumably, the Severnaya 330 substation was damaged.

🔻Kramatorsk: arrival at the infrastructure facility, the city is de-energized. Electricity went out in Slavyansk, Druzhkovka, Konstantinovka and Dobropolye.

🔻Odessa: explosions in the vicinity and the region, one of the two autotransformers of the Novoodesskaya 330 substation was damaged, as well as the Artsyz substation and Usatovo substation. In Odessa itself, pumping stations and backup lines did not function.

🔻Dnepropetrovsk: arrivals in the vicinity of the city, the pumping stations of one of the five water utilities are de-energized. Potentially, the Dneprovskaya 750 substation could have been hit.

🔻Zaporozhye: explosions in the city and region, including in the village of Novosofievka. The substation Dnepr-Donbass was damaged. Water supply was lost in several areas.

🔻Cherkasy: arrival in Cherkasy and Uman, emergency power outages are introduced in the region.

🔻Poltava: Explosions near Kremenchug.

🔻Sumy: A series of explosions in the area. Presumably, hits in the substation Sumy 330. There is no electricity supply in almost the entire region.

🔻Nikolaev: a series of explosions in the center and suburbs of the city.

🔻In the vicinity of the Moldavian city of Briceni, on the border with Ukraine, an upper stage of a rocket was found.

According to preliminary data, the projectile belongs to the Ukrainian S-300 air defense system.

🔻Also, explosions occurred at unidentified facilities in Ternopil, Vinnitsa, Cherkasy, Khmelnytsky and Kirovohrad regions.

Energy supply was completely or partially lost in Cherkasy, Lvov, Nikolaev, Sumy, Dnepropetrovsk, Kharkiv and Odessa regions. Long-term power outages are planned across the country.

Today, the focus of strikes has been shifted to the Odessa region, which suffered more than other regions. Hits in central and eastern Ukraine have resulted in extensive blackouts, the extent of which has yet to be determined.
