⚡️🇷🇺🇺🇦💥 Failure of AFU Counteroffensive near #Opytnoye⚡️

Ukrainian formations attempted an unsuccessful offensive near the village of #Opytnoye to the northwest of #Donetsk. Timely detection of the enemy by DPR People's Militia reconnaissance prevented a breakthrough by four enemy vehicles.

Two armoured vehicles were destroyed. An M113 armoured vehicle destroyed by Sparta around 13 October was also in the frame, indicating that the AFU is active in this section of the front.

In addition to mobile armoured groups, enemy sabotage and reconnaissance groups operate in the area and are detected by aerial reconnaissance on the approaches to Anthill.

From the famous Anthill, a network of positions near #Donetsk airport, it is about 12 kilometres to the centre of the DPR capital.

#Starobelsk Direction (MAP):

▪️ In the #Kupyansk area, the Ukrainian command of the 14th Mechanized Brigade has rotated personnel in preparation for an offensive against Russian positions near the village of #Kislovka.

▪️ In the #Svatovo sector, units of the AFU BTGr made an unsuccessful attempt to attack the positions of the Russian Forces near the village of #Kuzemovka. The enemies retreated to theirs initial positions and lost one tank and three armoured vehicles.

▪️ In the #Lyman sector, Ukrainian assault groups of the 66th Mechanized Brigade together with a tank reserve, attacked Russian strongholds near #Nevskoye. Russian Forces repulsed the attack and destroyed three tanks, two BMPs, one APC and three pickups of the AFU.

▪️ In the #Lysychansk sector, the AFU command moved reserves to compensate for the losses incurred in the failed attempts to storm the Russian positions in the direction of #Belogorovka.

#Soledar Direction:

▪️ There are no significant changes in the frontline, AFU units tried to push Wagner PMC units out of the asphalt plant on the eastern outskirts of #Bakhmut. At the same time, fierce fighting continues in the vicinity of #Opytnoye.

#Lugansk Region:

▪️ Ukrainian militants shelled #Zolote-2 and #Svatovo with HIMARS MLRS and also hit the village of #Krasnorechenskoye with artillery shells. Houses and civilian infrastructure were damaged. There were casualties among civilians and one fatality.

#Donetsk Direction:

▪️ AFU militants shelled #Donetsk, #Makeevka, #Dokuchayevsk, Krasny Partizan, #Kashtanovoye and other settlements in the agglomeration. To destroy radar and air defence complexes in #Donetsk, the militants used an US AGM-88 HARM anti-radar missile, which exploded in the air.

#Zaporozhye Direction:

▪️ No significant changes in the frontline in the last 24 hours. Mutual artillery fire is taking place along the entire line of contact.

▪️ In the morning, a car bomb exploted in #Melitopol near the ZATV television and radio company. Six journalists and civilians, including a 12-year-old girl, were injured.

◽️The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation continue the special military operation.

◽️In the Kupyansk direction, the enemy with the forces of a battalion tactical group and a company of foreign mercenaries, totaling up to 500 people, launched 5 consecutive attacks on the positions of Russian troops on a narrow front in the direction of the settlement of Kuzemovka (Lugansk People's Republic). All the enemy attacks have been repelled. The enemy was driven back to the initial positions by Russia's troops, artillery fire, army and ground-attack aviation, and heavy flamethrower systems. More than 160 militants, 5 tanks, 9 armoured fighting vehicles, and 10 pickup trucks have been neutralised.

◽️In the Krasny Liman direction, Russia's troops eliminated over 70 Ukraine's personnel, 2 tanks, 5 infantry fighting vehicles, an armoured personnel carrier, and 5 pickup trucks.

◽️In the Nikolayev–Krivoy Rog direction, the enemy, with up to 2 battalion tactical groups, failed attempts to attack in the directions of Ishchenka, Bruskinskoye, Pyatikhatki, and Koshara (Kherson region). The defeat resulted in destroying up to 125 Ukrainian servicemen, seven armoured fighting vehicles, and 13 vehicles.

✈️ Operational-tactical and Army Aviation, missile troops and artillery annihilated 2 command posts in Artemovsk (Donetsk People's Republic) and Konstantinovka (Zaporozhye region) as well as 59 artillery units in firing positions, manpower, and military hardware in 177 areas.

💥 A signal node of a Ukrainian group of troops has been destroyed near Prikolotnoye (Kharkov region). Close to Dnepropetrovsk, an oil terminal was destroyed, from which diesel fuel was supplied to the troops in Donbas.

💥 Russia's air defence systems shot down 10 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles over the settlements of Egorovka, Zeleny Gai, Pavlovka, Nikolskoye, Zavitne Bazhannya, Kirillovka (Donetsk People's Republic), Poltava (Lugansk People's Republic), Novaya Tarasovka (Kharkov region) and Novaya Kamenka (Kherson region).

Fake news:
The Insider, Bellingcat and Der Spiegel have mapped the personnel at the Main Computation Center of the Russian Armed Forces involved in strikes on peaceful objects in Ukraine.

The fact:
The story looks like a set of unconvincing facts, that don’t prove the stated topic in any way. The first thing worth noting: the use of weapons is an element of combat control, which is under the jurisdiction of the National Defense Control Center of the Russian Federation. The Main Computation Center performs other tasks. For example, it creates automated control systems and compiles databases for units of the Russian Armed Forces and the Ministry of Defense.

It means that weapons are directed by other structures and by no means at the call of an IT specialist with the rank of a junior officer and technical staff.

The authors write that the officers were calling each other on the eve of the shelling. Therefore, the conclusion is drawn that people were involved in the strikes. This is unconvincing, because colleagues could have had other reasons to call each other.

The media notes that none of the people they called confessed to working at the Main Computing Center. This is understandable: employees of the Defense Ministry are forbidden to talk about their work with outsiders, but this does not make them involved in decision-making. The Defense Ministry employs about 2 million people, so it is impossible to say that journalists talked to specialists of the MSC.

It is funny that the authors draw conclusions based on the name of the department. "The Main Military Computation Center (MCC) of the Armed Forces sounds like exactly the kind of place where guided missile trajectory calculations can be done," the "investigators" write.

There is no need for the Russian Armed Forces to strike peaceful targets. But such rhetoric shows the sick approach of some Western countries.

The authors write that they obtained access to a huge amount of data, including biographies of military graduates and military accounts, but they were unable to obtain direct evidence.

🇷🇺 Russian Forces develop an offensive on #Vodyanoye, #Pervomayskoye and #Opytnoye near the settlement of #Peski.

▪️ Units of the Sparta Battalion and other units of the Russian Forces have occupied AFU strongholds on the #Donetsk Ring Road between #Peski and #Vodyanoye. They have cleared most of #Vodyanoye and are advancing towards #Pervomayskoye fighting.

▪️ From the village of #Spartak, units of the DPR People's Militia approached the outskirts of #Opytnoye, taking the forward positions of the AFU. The supply of the AFU forces in the settlement is difficult. Almost all roads to the settlement are occupied or under fire by Russian troops.

#Lyman Sector:

🇷🇺 Units of the 3rd Motorized Rifle Division of the 20th Army went on the counter-offensive after successfully repulsing AFU attacks in the previous days:
