Psalm 75
1 We give thanks unto thee, O God; We give thanks, for thy name is near: Men tell of thy wondrous works.
2 When I shall find the set time, I will judge uprightly. 3 The earth and all the inhabitants thereof are dissolved: I have set up the pillars of it. Selah
Nahum 1
5 The mountains quake at him, and the hills melt; and the earth is upheaved at his presence, yea, the world, and all that dwell therein. 6 Who can stand before his indignation? and who can abide in the fierceness of his anger? his wrath is poured out like fire, and the rocks are broken asunder by him.
Exodus 19
18 And mount Sinai, the whole of it, smoked, because Jehovah descended upon it in fire; and the smoke thereof ascended as the smoke of a furnace, and the whole mount quaked greatly. 19 And when the voice of the trumpet waxed louder and louder, Moses spake, and God answered him by a voice.
In the Shadows of Shadowland | Kunstler

March 22, 2021

Coming up this week, Joe Biden’s long-delayed premiere “news conference.” Even though the “questions” are all pre-submitted and vetted, and the answers will be scrolling on a teleprompter, Mr. Biden will be working without a net. His handlers must be cross-eyed with anxiety over what might happen. Pretty soon, the game will be up. The election fraud story won’t go away against all efforts to suppress it. The shadow government will get outed as the nation sinks deeper into economic and civil disorder, and some people will have to do something.

MV Ever Given: What's Going On in the Suez, Part 1 - John Konrad & Sal Mercogliano: March 24, 2021 - YouTube

Sal Mercogliano
Published on Mar 24, 2021

Sal Mercogliano, Associate Professor of History of History at Campbell University and Adjunct Professor at the United States Merchant Marine Academy, along with Capt John Konrad, CEO of gCaptain discuss the situation in the Suez Canal with the grounding of the Evergreen containership MV Ever Given.

John and Sal discuss what could have caused the event, what is being done now to clear the ship from the channel, the impact the closure of the canal is having on world trade and commerce, and why this issue should be important not only to shippers, but the government, the military, and every human on the planet since 90% of all goods are moved by sea.

You have to admit this vessel could win a prize for being the world's largest high-friction (self-locking) "door" wedge!
Wedge (mechanics)
mechanical device; triangular shaped tool; portable inclined plane; one of the six classical simple machines

Wedges can also be used to hold objects in place, such as engine parts (poppet valves), bicycle parts (stems and eccentric bottom brackets), and doors.

A door stop (door wedge) is a wedge, and its main function is to generate friction between the bottom of the door and the ground.

The door wedge
Another kind of friction wedge:
Aircraft Wheel Chocks
Visualize each chock as the sandy edge of the canal forming an unwanted "friction seal" that prevents movement! On both ends of the vessel, no less!
Cargo ship Ever Given has been freed, ending week-long Suez Canal crisis - MarketWatch

Published: March 29, 2021 at 10:43 a.m. ET
By Associated Press

SUEZ, Egypt (AP) — Salvage teams on Monday set free a colossal container ship that has halted global trade through the Suez Canal, bringing an end to a crisis that for nearly a week had clogged one of the world’s most vital maritime arteries.

Helped by the peak of high tide, a flotilla of tugboats managed to wrench the bulbous bow of the skyscraper-sized Ever Given from the canal’s sandy bank, where it had been firmly lodged since last Tuesday.

After hauling the fully laden 220,000-ton vessel over the canal bank, the salvage team was pulling the vessel toward the Great Bitter Lake, a wide stretch of water halfway between the north and south end of the canal, where the ship will undergo technical inspection, canal authorities said.
...
The freeing of the vessel came after dredgers vacuumed up sand and mud from the vessel’s bow and 10 tugboats pushed and pulled the vessel for five days, managing to partially refloat it at dawn.
...
The salvage operation successfully relied on tugs and dredgers alone, allowing authorities to avoid the far more complex and lengthy task of lightening the vessel by offloading its 20,000 containers.

PYRAMID-SHAPED ICE CRYSTALS MAKE WEIRD MOON HALOS: We've all seen halos around the Moon. Ruslan Merzlyakov just photographed two. "I enjoyed seeing this rare double Moon halo over Nykøbing Mors, Denmark," he says.

https://spaceweathergallery.com/indiv_upload.php?upload_id=173238

"The outer ring was a common 22° halo--the kind we see all the time," says Merzlyakov. "The inner ring is the unusual one. It was only 9° in radius."

Inner halos like Merzlyakov saw are called "odd radius halos." They are caused by ice crystals in the shape of pyramids. The crystals that create normal halos look more like pencils. On his atmospheric optics website, Les Cowley notes that "Odd radius halos may not be as 'odd' or rare as usually thought. Make a point of routinely searching for them!"
