La Soufrière or Soufrière Saint Vincent (French pronunciation: [sufʁjɛʁ sɛ̃ vɛ̃sɑ̃]; Vincentian: Soufra) is an active volcano on the Caribbean island of Saint Vincent in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. It is the highest peak in Saint Vincent, and has had five recorded explosive eruptions since 1718, most recently in April 2021.

But I worry that much of the silence today of many friends of liberty is rooted in nothing more solid than the tenuous identification of lockdown opposition with Trumpism. The detestation of Trump is so intense that it overrides the common-sense understanding that, as president, Trump did not possess powers of the sort that King Canute boasted.
