The so-called “Mega-Drought” in the Western U.S is being caused by climate engineering. Wigington says, “We know conclusively that in the case of cutting off the flow of moisture in the U.S. West is absolutely the result of climate engineering operations—period. . . . They are cutting off the food supply. . . .Food supply is collapsing. . . .We have climate engineering completely derailing crop production, and it’s not just in the U.S. West, but in multiple locations around the world.”

We actually use a Berkey filter at home. When we moved to our little village we didn’t know that the water treatment plant was having issues(boil order). We already had the Berkey and started using it. After that we never had any problems.
A Berkey can be used with stream or lake water as well. Just use several layers of cotton cloth to prefilter the water from the stream.
Additionally, if you use food grade 5 gallon plastic buckets and Berkey filters, you can make your own water filter setup. This actually works well for an off grid situation since a person can reach into the top bucket (that has the filters) and use a green Scotch Brite to clean the Berkey filters. Then rinse the top water container with stream water. Put everything back together and start filtering again.

A stainless steel spigot is recommended (additional purchase). This is the part that will see the most use. A plastic spigot will not last as long as a stainless steel one.
It doesn't hurt to get spare water filter inserts and maybe an extra spigot.
You will need to use food grade plugs to close off the holes not being used in the top chamber.
Get spare parts now. You will have noticed many supplies are difficult to get or take a long time for delivery!
Those on city water will want filters that remove fluoride. Check the specifications document before you make your purchase. The filters are the most expensive part of the system and at the same time are the most critical for the function of providing safe potable water.
