CSIS warned Trudeau government invoking Emergencies Act could spark radicalization, violence
Spy agency advised that the powerful Emergencies Act would likely galvanize the anti-government narratives within the convoy. Canada's spy agency warned the federal government invoking the Emergencies Act could further radicalize Canadians engaged in convoy protests, and push some towards violence. The information is contained in an undated report from the Canadian Security Intelligence Service (CSIS) that was presented at the Emergencies Act (EA) inquiry on Monday. It surfaced during Windsor Mayor Drew Dilkens's testimony about the blockade of the Ambassador Bridge last winter, part of several protests against pandemic restrictions.

Biden froze out China's ambassador. He may regret that
The administration snub could further complicate bilateral ties. China's ambassador to the U.S. just became one of the more powerful people in the Chinese government. But the Biden administration has given him the cold shoulder for much of his tenure — a posture that could further complicate the touchy relations between the superpowers. For months after arriving in Washington in September 2021, Qin Gang was limited to meetings with just a handful of U.S. officials, according to two people with knowledge of the interactions. One of those said that the shortlist of officials made available to Qin included Kurt Campbell, the National Security Council's Indo-Pacific coordinator, and Laura Rosenberger, NSC's senior director for China. That narrow access came despite repeated requests to meet with more senior administration officials, said those people — who were granted anonymity to share private conversations.

Terrifying moment pod of 7 orcas SINK a sailing yacht off Portugal
This is the astonishing moment seven orcas destroyed a sailing yacht and sank it in 45 minutes, with the terrified crew fleeing for their lives on a life raft near Portugal. Footage from November 1 shows the orcas circling and bumping the vessel, called Smousse while crew members Elliott, Augustin, Roman and Corentin were on board. Augustin said that when they heard the boat shaking and a loud noise at the back of the yacht, they realised they were surrounded by orcas. As the attack continued, the boat eventually began to crack because of the force of the orca's jaws and the killer whales ripped a hole in the hull of the 40ft boat. Augustin went to the back of the boat and realised it was fast filling with water and the men had to flee.

Centuries-old whaling logs are filling gaps in our climate knowledge
Whalers from the 18th and 19th centuries are helping 21st Century scientists on climate change. A little after 7:30 in the morning on Wednesday, December 7, 1887, in the aftermath of remarkably strong northeasterly winds, Captain William A. Martin instructed the crew of the Eunice H. Adams, a whaling ship from Massachusetts, to anchor in cerulean water roughly 24 feet deep, close to Port Royal, South Carolina. Around 9 a.m., Charles Hamilton, a desperate crew member, jumped overboard — deserting his post, with the intention of swimming to land. He was intercepted mid-route by another ship, which returned him to the leaking brig he had tried to escape. Later that day, an act of near-mutiny occurred. According to the ship's logbook, a signed letter from the majority of the crew was sent ashore to Port Royal authorities. In it, the men complained that the vessel they sailed on was "unseaworthy," unhappy with the unplanned stop and delay for repairs merely months into their voyage, in...

Leftist elites nervous as white suburban women run back into GOP's arms
Heading down the stretch of the 2022 midterm elections, white suburban women - who comprise 20% of the nation's electorate - are swinging back to Republicans in a big way. A new Wall Street Journal poll finds that white women in the suburbs now favor Republican congressional candidates by a whopping 15% margin -- a jaw-dropping 27-percentage-point move just since August. The shift has largely been fueled by the group's deepening concerns over inflation and the economy. About 54% say the country is already in a recession while 74% say the economy is heading in the wrong direction. Those numbers are up August readings of 43% and 59%, respectively.

Fauci seething over 'terrible' booster uptake, blames 'lies and misinformation'
Speaking at an awards ceremony over the weekend, retiring government bureaucrat Anthony Fauci expressed his dismay over the fact that Americans seem entirely uninterested in getting the latest Pfizer and Moderna booster shots. "We have a COVID vaccine and a booster that is matched very well to the circulating virus and yet only about 15% of people who have been vaccinated have gotten the boost, that is terrible," Fauci raged, like a pharma rep who failed to meet his sales quota. "We've got to do better than that." In total, only about 7% of all Americans have taken the new shot, according to the CDC.

Robert Epstein: Google is shifting votes on a massive scale, but a solution is at hand
My research team is currently monitoring online political content being sent to voters in swing states through more than 2,500 computers owned by a politically-diverse group of registered voters (our "field agents"), and we are concerned about what we're seeing. We are aggregating and analyzing search results on the Google and Bing search engines, messages displayed on Google's home page, autoplay videos suggested on YouTube, tweets sent to users by the Twitter company (as opposed to tweets sent by other users), email suppression on Gmail, and more. We have so far preserved more than 1.9 million "ephemeral experiences" - exposure to short-lived content that impacts people and then disappears, leaving no trace - that Google and other companies are able to use to shift opinions and voting preferences, and we expect to have captured more than 2.5 million by Election Day.

Australian researchers uncover massive anti-Russian 'bot army'
An Australian university has unearthed millions of Tweets by fake 'bot' accounts pushing disinformation on the Ukraine war. A team of researchers at the University of Adelaide have found that as many as 80 percent of tweets about the 2022 Russia-Ukraine invasion in its early weeks were part of a covert propaganda campaign originating from automated fake "bot" accounts. An anti-Russia propaganda campaign originating from a "bot army" of phony automated Twitter accounts flooded the internet at the start of the war. The research shows that of the more than 5 million tweets studied, 90.2 percent (both bot and non-bot) came from accounts that were pro-Ukraine, with fewer than 7 percent of the accounts being classed as pro-Russian.

Did the former Soviet Union experience what awaits Europe
I have come across another book that I recommend you get and read. It is Alex Krainer's, Grand Deception: The Browder Hoax. I was floored by the information he presented in the chapter, The Enterprise. Krainer's exposition of what happened to Russians in the wake of the collapse of the Soviet Union-the mass rape of a country by economic elites in the United States and Europe. Once you comprehend what the Russian people endured in terms of economic privation and the economic miracle that unfolded under the leadership of Vladimir Putin, you will appreciate that Putin is not a heartless thug clinging to power by using fear, intimidation and coercion. The horror described by Krainer is on par with the Holodomor experienced by Ukrainians at the hand of Stalin in the 1930s-an estimated 4 million Ukrainians starved to death because of Stalin's policy while "Russia sustained between five and six million "surplus deaths" - deaths that couldn't be explained by previous population trends."...

Midterm elections and the pathetic Democratic pantheon
Joe Biden, Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama, and Nancy Pelosi are of no use to the Left in the midterms because it is their radical ideology that was finally enacted and wrecked the country. Over the last few months the four icons of the Democratic Party — Joe Biden, Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama, and Nancy Pelosi — have hit the campaign trail. They've weighed in on everything from "right-wing violence" and "election denialists" to the now tired "un-American" semi-fascist MAGA voter — and had nothing much to say about inflation, the border, crime, energy, or the Afghanistan debacle. In this, they remind us just how impoverished and calcified is this left-wing pantheon. So why should we take anything they say seriously, given their own records — and especially given their mastery of projecting their own shortcomings upon others as some sort of private exculpation or preemptive political strategy?
