Did the former Soviet Union experience what awaits Europe?
I have come across another book that I recommend you get and read. It is Alex Krainer's, Grand Deception: The Browder Hoax. I was floored by the information he presented in the chapter, The Enterprise. Krainer's exposition of what happened to Russians in the wake of the collapse of the Soviet Union-the mass rape of a country by economic elites in the United States and Europe. Once you comprehend what the Russian people endured in terms of economic privation and the economic miracle that unfolded under the leadership of Vladimir Putin, you will appreciate that Putin is not a heartless thug clinging to power by using fear, intimidation and coercion. The horror described by Krainer is on par with the Holodomor experienced by Ukrainians at the hand of Stalin in the 1930s-an estimated 4 million Ukrainians starved to death because of Stalin's policy while "Russia sustained between five and six million "surplus deaths" - deaths that couldn't be explained by previous population trends."...

Algeria wants to join BRICS, other countries expected to join are Argentina, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and Iran
Algeria has reportedly filed an official application to join the BRICS group of major emerging economies. News website Al-Shouruk said the announcement came from Leila Zerrouki, the Foreign Ministry's special envoy for international partnerships, speaking on state radio. Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune recently said the country was interested in joining Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa in the BRICS group, explaining that the country largely meets the criteria for membership. Later, Russian Ambassador to Algeria Valeryan Shuvaev indicated that Moscow had no objections to Algeria joining.

Midterm elections and the pathetic Democratic pantheon
Joe Biden, Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama, and Nancy Pelosi are of no use to the Left in the midterms because it is their radical ideology that was finally enacted and wrecked the country. Over the last few months the four icons of the Democratic Party — Joe Biden, Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama, and Nancy Pelosi — have hit the campaign trail. They've weighed in on everything from "right-wing violence" and "election denialists" to the now tired "un-American" semi-fascist MAGA voter — and had nothing much to say about inflation, the border, crime, energy, or the Afghanistan debacle. In this, they remind us just how impoverished and calcified is this left-wing pantheon. So why should we take anything they say seriously, given their own records — and especially given their mastery of projecting their own shortcomings upon others as some sort of private exculpation or preemptive political strategy?

The one-world religion on full display as fake 'faith leaders' join globalist predators to push Earth worship at U.N. COP 27 conference
Climate hysteria, i.e. Earth worship, is a key component of the coming one-world religion and we're seeing it on full display in Egypt this week at the United Nations COP 27 climate conference. The COP 27 logo says it all. The logo depicts the African sun (above) and embracing the ancient Egyptian Aten's sun (below), which implies giving rise to a new horizon (new world order). All of the global crises unleashed upon the earth since March 2020 have been aimed at one thing - depopulation. For more on this, see my Oct. 25 article in which climate activist Dennis Meadows clearly explains in a video that the climate "crisis" can never be solved without drastic population reduction. The globalists' plan calls for riding the wave of fear created by various global crises all the way to a new world order, or as they now call it, a Great Reset. They wish to restructure and re-order all human activity on earth, from the way we socialize and work to the way we worship — and who/what we...

Pennsylvania is on the verge of a midterm meltdown
Just in time for the midterm elections, the Pennsylvania Supreme Court issued a major victory for election integrity and the rule of law. The court ruled that Commonwealth election officials must follow the law and not count mail-in ballots with missing or incorrect dates on their protective envelopes. That's a welcome relief, but left-wing groups are already back in court fighting to block it. It's a striking reminder that Pennsylvania remains precariously close to a midterm meltdown with national consequences. After all, the outcome of the Keystone state's tightly contested senate race carries huge ramifications for control of the upper chamber of Congress. But antiquated procedures and weak safeguards continue to leave Pennsylvania's election process vulnerable to delays, confusion, mischief and ponderous litigation that could drag the results out for weeks — or longer.

War of words in Italy over Ukraine aid
Italy's government has traded barbs with the opposition over weapons shipments for Kiev, after a massive demonstration in Rome over the weekend called for peace and diplomacy in Ukraine. Former PM Giuseppe Conte said that shirking political debate on Ukraine aid would be bullying democracy itself, in response to Defense Minister Guido Crosetto labelling him a "neighborhood bully." Conte, who leads the Five Star Movement (M5S), addressed tens of thousands of Italians who rallied against the war on Saturday, telling them the new government's approach is "leading only to escalation." Now that Ukraine is "fully armed," Italy needs to push for a ceasefire and peace talks, he said.

Zelensky sets out conditions for talks with Moscow
Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky on Monday called on world powers "to force Russia into real peace negotiations," and set out his own conditions for resuming talks. His remarks follow reports that US officials have been pushing Ukraine to show willingness to engage in dialogue with Moscow. "Once again: restoration of territorial integrity, respect for the UN Charter, compensation for all war damage, punishment of every war criminal, and guarantees that this will not happen again. These are completely understandable conditions," he said in a video address. American media earlier claimed the White House was privately asking top Ukrainian officials to show it was open to peace talks. The Washington Post reported, citing its sources, that the US goal was not to push Ukraine to negotiate an end to the fighting, but to alleviate foreign backers' concerns about a long conflict.

Protesters block Pakistan's capital following attempted assassination of former PM Imran Khan
Supporters of former Pakistani prime minister Imran Khan blocked roads near Islamabad on Tuesday, disrupting traffic and forcing schools to close. Police documents are thought to have recorded that a lone gunman attempted to kill Khan last week, while Khan claims there was a conspiracy involving two would-be assassins. Video footage filmed on Monday and Tuesday showed supporters of Khan's Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf party bringing chairs onto highways outside the Pakistani capital, as other groups of demonstrators staged similar sit-down protests inside the city. Banners featuring Khan's likeness were held aloft by his supporters and hung from bridges. The protests forced a number of schools to close, Reuters reported on Tuesday.

SOTT FOCUS: SOTT Earth Changes Summary - October 2022: Extreme Weather, Planetary Upheaval, Meteor Fireballs
Record rains and devastating floods hit at least 19 countries across West and Central Africa killing thousands and displacing tens of thousands. Over one million acres of cropland have been destroyed worsening the burgeoning hunger crisis. This has been considered one of the deadliest disasters in the region. "The rainfall this year is exceptional. There have been sustained rains since the beginning of the season, since August, September, and even until October now, it continues to rain," said Kousoumna Libaa, a climate specialist. Nigeria experienced its worst floods in a decade, taking the lives of at least 600, while tens of thousands of livestock were lost to the waters and waterborne diseases. 18 of Nigeria's 36 states were affected. In Cameroon, flood waters caused significant damage in the northern region, destroying crops and houses, and Chad's government declared a state of emergency after the floods affected more than 1 million people. Some farmers have lost close to 75%...

What's really going on? China declares more covid outbreaks, locks down regions
New coronavirus cases surged in Guangzhou and other Chinese cities, official data showed on Tuesday, with the global manufacturing hub becoming China's latest COVID1-9 epicentre and testing the city's ability to avoid a Shanghai-style lockdown. Nationwide, new locally transmitted infections climbed to 7,475 on Nov. 7, according to China's health authority, up from 5,496 the day before and the highest since May 1. Guangzhou accounted for nearly a third of the new infections. The increase was modest by global standards but significant for China, where outbreaks are quickly tackled when they surface. Comment: SOTT radio's Joe Quinn recently commented on China's otherwise inexplicable 'zero Covid' response: The above reasoning also explains why China is willing to risk some civil unrest over a virus that's now widely been accepted - even by the hystericised West - to be little more than a bad flu.

AWARE II Near Death study presentation at AHA 2022
Someone very kindly provided me with a copy of the slides from Sunday's presentation. They sent them to me because I have a Ph.D. and I work in research therefore I will respect the sender's request that they only be presented in an academic context and I will not post any of the actual slides on here, or supply copies. That being said much of the key bits of data can be found in the abstract that Z posted the following link to: Link to AHA 2022 AWARE II abstract Now to the presentation. The background looks at the physiological factors around death and resuscitation, and has a slide on the pig study. It then looks at the different types of experience that are recalled, and also the psychological impact of these experiences. The historically low percentage of visual recollections is highlighted and he uses AWARE I as a source of evidence for this. He then moves on to the study itself. Firstly he states 3 specific hypotheses related to Near Death Experiences: Consciousness and...

Getting out the vote in ancient times
In Athens and Rome, voting could entail shouting contests, secret stone ballots and an election system with built-in bias for the wealthy. Citizens of modern democracies have used a variety of methods and technologies to cast their votes on election day, but how did people participate in elections in ancient times? Historians have pieced together some intriguing details from Athens, the first and only direct democracy, and the Roman Republic, a quasi-democracy where the wealthiest classes wielded more influence than the workers. In both Athens and Rome, participation in the democratic process (The Greek word dēmokratia means "people power") was limited to the dēmos, which were free, male citizens. Women and enslaved people did not have a vote.

China pulls video speech by EU Council chief at major trade expo over criticism of trade dependency, war in Ukraine
The Chinese organisers of a major trade expo in Shanghai pulled a pre-recorded message by the European Council president that was reportedly critical of Russia's war in Ukraine and the bloc's trade dependency on China. "As requested by the Chinese authorities, we had indeed provided a pre-recorded message which was ultimately not shown," Charles Michel's spokesman, Barend Leyts, confirmed to Euronews. "We have addressed this through the normal diplomatic channels," he added. According to the Reuters news agency, Michel's video address for the opening ceremony of the China International Import Expo (CIIE) on Friday was expected to say that "China has a role in using its influence to stop Russia's brutal war... through your so-called "no-limits" partnership with Russia." Comment: It serves the EU right for attempting to use the platform for its propaganda.

'Exceptional' trove of 24 ancient statues found immersed in Tuscan spa, sheds light on transition between Etruscan and Roman period
An "exceptional" trove of bronze statues preserved for thousands of years by mud and boiling water have been discovered in a network of baths built by the Etruscans in Tuscany. The 24 partly submerged statues, which date back 2,300 years and have been hailed as the most significant find of their kind in 50 years, include a sleeping ephebe lying next to Hygeia, the goddess of health, with a snake wrapped around her arm. Archaeologists came across the statues during excavations at the ancient spa in San Casciano dei Bagni, near Siena. The modern-day spa, which contains 42 hot springs, is close to the ancient site and is one of Italy's most popular spa destinations.

WRONG flu jab given to some over-65s, NHS declares 'serious incident'
NHS England is investigating a 'potential serious incident' after giving the wrong type of flu vaccine to some over 65s. A 'small number' of people who have received an autumn flu jab have mistakenly been given a standard egg culture influenza vaccine (QIVe), which is known to be less effective. Comment: There is very little evidence that flu jabs are effective against the flu. NHSE said everyone affected will be contacted and given an opportunity to get another type of vaccine if they want but assured that 'there is no clinical risk' to the QIVe vaccine and that it still provides some protection. It was unable to confirm the number of people affected as it said some cases where a QIVe jab was recorded were due to reporting errors. NHSE has so far delivered 15million flu vaccines in total to over 65s and other priority groups.

Polarized x-rays from a magnetar in Cassiopeia constellation observed for the first time
A signature in the X-ray light emitted by a highly magnetised dead star known as a magnetar suggests the star has a solid surface with no atmosphere, according to a new study by an international collaboration co-led by UCL researchers. The study, published in the journal Science, uses data from a NASA satellite, the Imaging X-ray Polarimetry Explorer (IXPE), which was launched last December. The satellite, a collaboration between NASA and the Italian Space Agency, provides a new way of looking at X-ray light in space by measuring its polarisation - the direction of the light waves' wiggle. The team looked at IXPE's observation of magnetar 4U 0142 61, located in the Cassiopeia constellation, about 13,000 light years away from Earth. This was the first time polarised X-ray light from a magnetar had been observed. Magnetars are neutron stars - very dense remnant cores of massive stars that have exploded as supernovae at the ends of their lives. Unlike other neutron stars, they have an...

Wisconsin judge won't order sequestering of absentee ballots
A Wisconsin judge on Monday, less than 14 hours before polls opened, refused to order that military absentee ballots be pulled aside and sequestered until it can be verified that they were cast legally, saying that would be a "drastic remedy" that could disenfranchise voters. The Republican chair of the Wisconsin Assembly's elections committee along with a veterans group and other voters sued on Friday, seeking a court order to sequester the ballots. Waukesha County Circuit Judge Michael Maxwell denied that request for a temporary restraining order in a ruling from the bench following a two-hour hearing Monday afternoon. "That just seems to be a drastic remedy," he said of sequestering the ballots. The judge also denied a request from state Rep. Janel Brandtjen, who was represented by attorneys from the conservative Thomas More Society, to order the elections commission to withdraw its guidance to clerks about absentee ballots from members of the military. Brandtjen has pushed...

Why are people losing confidence in vaccines?
A new peer reviewed article in the journal Vaccine has been published comparing surveys data on attitudes to vaccination from before the pandemic with attitudes now. The authors report that "paradoxically, despite the success of COVID-19 vaccination campaigns, vaccine confidence has significantly declined since the onset of the pandemic". I am not quite sure why the authors appear so surprised at their result but a clue can be found in their use of the word "despite". In many countries the "success" of the COVID-19 vaccination campaign relied in large part in pressuring, bullying and sometimes coercing people to get vaccinated.
