Wisconsin judge won't order sequestering of absentee ballots
A Wisconsin judge on Monday, less than 14 hours before polls opened, refused to order that military absentee ballots be pulled aside and sequestered until it can be verified that they were cast legally, saying that would be a "drastic remedy" that could disenfranchise voters. The Republican chair of the Wisconsin Assembly's elections committee along with a veterans group and other voters sued on Friday, seeking a court order to sequester the ballots. Waukesha County Circuit Judge Michael Maxwell denied that request for a temporary restraining order in a ruling from the bench following a two-hour hearing Monday afternoon. "That just seems to be a drastic remedy," he said of sequestering the ballots. The judge also denied a request from state Rep. Janel Brandtjen, who was represented by attorneys from the conservative Thomas More Society, to order the elections commission to withdraw its guidance to clerks about absentee ballots from members of the military. Why are people losing confidence in vaccines?
A new peer reviewed article in the journal Vaccine has been published comparing surveys data on attitudes to vaccination from before the pandemic with attitudes now. The authors report that "paradoxically, despite the success of COVID-19 vaccination campaigns, vaccine confidence has significantly declined since the onset of the pandemic". I am not quite sure why the authors appear so surprised at their result but a clue can be found in their use of the word "despite". In many countries the "success" of the COVID-19 vaccination campaign relied in large part in pressuring, bullying and sometimes coercing people to get vaccinated.

Twitter daily user growth hits 'all-time highs' during first week under Musk
While Twitter may be shedding virtue-signaling advertisers (who totally weren't looking for any reason to trim their ad budgets), daily user growth during the company's first full week under Elon Musk has hit 'all-time highs,' according to an internal document seen by The Verge. According to an internal FAQ given to the company's sales team for use in conversations with advertisers, Twitter's monetizable daily user (mDAU) has jumped to more than 20%, while "Twitter's largest market, the US, is growing even more quickly." The company has added more than 15 million mDAUs, "crossing the quarter billion mark" since the end of Q2, when it stopped reporting financials as a public company.

Meteor fireball over central Spain (Nov. 7)
This bright bolide is a Southern Taurid spotted over Spain on November 7, at 1:53 local time (equivalent to 0:53 universal time). The event was generated by a rock (a meteoroid) from Comet 2P/Encke that hit the atmosphere at about 110,000 km/h. The fireball overflew the provinces of Avila and Salamanca (Spain). It began at an altitude of about 106 km over Ávila, moved north, and ended at a height of around 62 km over the province of Salamanca. This bright meteor was recorded in the framework of the SMART project, operated by the Southwestern Europe Meteor Network (SWEMN) from the meteor-observing stations located at La Hita, Huelva, Sevilla, El Guijo, Calar Alto, Sierra Nevada, La Sagra, ESA Casas de Millán, and ESA Cebreros. The event has been analyzed by the principal investigator of the SMART project: Dr. Jose M. Madiedo, from the Institute of Astrophysics of Andalusia (IAA-CSIC).

Northern beaked whale dies after washing ashore in France - normally a denizen of deep Arctic waters
A 7.6-meter (25-foot) whale died on a beach in northern France on Monday, hours after being discovered washed up and alive but wounded, authorities said. Experts had hoped the rising tide would come in time to help the cetacean back on its way, but the animal died as it struggled to reach the water. "It probably drowned" during its efforts, said Jacky Karpouzopoulos, head of CMNF, an association for the protection of wild mammals in northern France. The appearance of this type of beaked whale, a northern bottlenose, this far south is rare.

'Slit your throat': UK MP Gavin Williamson accused of 'deliberately intimidating' senior civil servant on regular basis, threatening another MP
A senior civil servant claims Gavin Williamson told them to "slit your throat" in what they felt was a sustained campaign of bullying while he was defence secretary. The Ministry of Defence official told the Guardian Williamson made the extraordinary remarks in front of other civil servants in a meeting, and on a separate occasion told them to "jump out of the window". Comment: What does it say about Williamson who apparently sees no issue with making such nasty and threatening comments, and allegedly on a regular basis? Moreover, this is when he's around colleagues; what kinds of comments does he make when he knows he's subject to less scrutiny? The Whitehall aide, who worked closely with the cabinet minister, claimed Williamson "deliberately demeaned and intimidated" them on a regular basis.

U.N. tells rich countries to pay $2 trillion a year for climate 'justice'
An annual transfer of funds from rich to poor countries, starting at around $2 trillion by 2030 and rising thereafter, is needed for climate "justice" according to a U.N.-backed report released Tuesday. China has been specifically excluded from the demand for reparations, which includes taxes for fossil fuel companies on their global "carbon profits," even as the Communist state's greenhouse gas emissions now exceed the entire rest of the developed world combined. The first one trillion dollars alone should come from rich countries, investors and multilateral development banks, declared the analysis commissioned by Britain and Egypt, hosts respectively of the 2021 U.N. climate summit in Glasgow and this week's COP27 event in Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt. A further $1.4 trillion must then originate domestically from private and public sources, said the report seen by AFP.

Martin Armstrong claims the United States won't exist after 2032. Analyst Martin Armstrong has warned that there may not be an election in 2024 and that "the United States will not exist after 2032" due to massive societal upheaval and financial collapse. Armstrong, who correctly predicted numerous previous major events, including the 2008 financial collapse, made the comments during an interview with Greg Hunter. According to the analyst, future elections are in severe doubt of even taking place due to rampant corruption and cheating, along with the likelihood that neither side will accept defeat. "The cheating in the midterm election next week is going to be so great that it is almost impossible to make a prediction. . . . In a fair midterm election, the Republicans would win the House and the Senate," said Armstrong.

The Supreme Court could end affirmative action
Race-based affirmative action in college admissions is likely on its way out, as the Supreme Court began hearing arguments in two cases challenging the policy. On Monday, the Supreme Court began hearing arguments on two cases brought by Students for Fair Admissions (SFFA), an anti-affirmative action group, seeking to challenge the University of North Carolina (UNC) and Harvard University's race-conscious admissions policies. While the Court has sided in favor of colleges seeking to use race-based affirmative action policies in the past, most recently in 2016, the Court's current conservative majority leads legal experts to believe that the policy will most likely be ruled unconstitutional.

How British intelligence weaponizes the Sunni clergy class
For decades, London has financed, trained, and sought to influence Islamic scholars, Imams, and their pious followers. The UK's agenda is to mold Islamic influencers into promoting British narratives of the world. Leaked documents reviewed by The Cradle reveal the British Foreign Office is managing a number of covert projects to influence politics and perceptions across West Asia, by way of coopting the religion of Islam and its interlocutors - including local Imams, and their sermons and teachings.
