There are two factions of within fascism that are constantly in competition with one another.
These are the traditionalist faction and the futurist faction. They have competing conceptions of time, as well as techne.
In the traditionalist conception of time, we lived in a closed and fated system, in which only degeneration is possible.
Any attempt at a restoration of culture or civilization is doomed, for the only way out of the dark age is through it, by the grace of the Gods.
In this respect traditionalists are accelerationist, they wish to see the world plunged into darkness and our culture and civilization destroyed along with the rest of the world, so that the gods may come down and restore order with the birth of a new golden age.
The futurists have a different conception, time as an upward spiral, there are cycles yes, but these cycles are progressing towards a higher stage of human evolution.
It is inherently an optimistic outlook, one that says that we must overcome the dark age and impose a heroic age, one governed by our own will to power, and not by our servitude to the hands of the gods.
That we will rise to a new glory, only by our own hand.

It is this Promethean fire, this techne - formerly reserved for the Gods, and kept from Humanity, which defines us. This techne, is what separates us from the animal world, it is what unbinds us from the natural predestination of other species, which allows us our free will - to choose. But not just choose, to look ahead (promethia), to unveil that which is concealed, to pursue the wisdom of truth.
As we become more aware of how the Gods bind us into fate, by such techne as Astrology ... we actually free ourselves from its influences, we are able to turn those manipulations to our own advantage, to direct what was once unconscious tools of our servitude, into conscious tools of liberation.
It was Prometheus, not Zeus, who created mankind and gave him his soul, which is characterized by the butterfly, showing we are fundamentally a species defined by our ability to transform and evolve from the larval state to that of a mature form.
