3-4 листопада - чорна дата в історії України

27 жовтня - 4 листопада 1937 року відбулась одна з найбільших трагедій української Історії. У ці дні, за рішенням особливої трійки нквс, в урочищі Сандармох було страчено 1111 в’язнів Соловецької тюрми, значна частина з них була українцями.

3-4 листопада було страчено більшість із усіх трьох сотень представників української інтелігенції, які були в розстрільному списку Сандармоху. Серед, них: Лесь Курбас, Микола Куліш, Микола Зеров, Валер’ян Підмогильний, Антін Крушельницький, Сергій Грушевський, Матвій Яворський.
