The SPECIALPROJECTSDEVGROUP, sometimes referred to as the 'Special Operations Group', is made up of Paramilitary Operations Officers.
SPECIALPROJECTSDEVGROUP has four branches under the Special Operations Group and the Ground Branch Group. Operatives are assigned to one of these branches. They are:
SPG Ground Branch
Ground Branch operatives are experts in field craft, surveillance, small arms, hostage rescue, CQB and advanced driving. Many former Army Special Forces soldiers and Delta Force operators find their way into Ground Branch.
SPG Maritime Branch
SPG Maritime Branch's focus is on amphibious operations and as such tends to recruit ex SEALs and Force Recon Marines as its operators
SPG Air Branch
The elite pilots of SPG Air Branch, many recruited from AFSOC and the 160th SOAR, as well as civilian aviation companies, are tasked with flying everything from small light aircraft to large transport planes.
SPG Medical and Special Programs Branch.
PMOOs assigned to SPG Medical and Special Programs Branch typically carry out deniable covert operations on foreign soil. SPG Medical and Special Programs Paramilitary Operations Team members are trained in:
Tactical Air Control Party (TACP) Support.
Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) Operations.
Unmanned Aerial System (UAS) Operations and Maintenance.
Special Operations Forces (SOF) Support.
Search and Rescue (SAR) Operations.
Counterterrorism and Counterinsurgency Support.
Close Air Support (CAS) Operations.
Airborne Communications and Command & Control (C2)
