Today marks the 18th anniversary of the illegal, genocidal American invasion of Iraq, the greatest crime of the 21st century. A war for oil, justified by lies. A war that destroyed a whole nation and resulted in the martyrdom of over a million Iraqis, many of whom gave their lives resisting the US occupation. The courageous struggle of the fighters of Fallujah, Baghdad, Ramadi and Basra, and the unspeakable brutality of the American terrorists will not be forgotten. In the words of the martyred President Saddam Hussein al-Tikriti, "The moon, the stars and the sun will, with Allah's Grace expose all the schemes that they [Americans] hide in the darkness of their minds and chests. Their arrows will go astray, while your arrows will hit them, now that Allah has deemed your struggle to be a driving force in the march of every mujahid and freedom fighter in your nation and in the peoples of the world at large against injustice and its perpetrators." May Allah have mercy on Iraq and its martyrs.
