Holy... cow dung!
Hundreds of Indian villagers hurled cow dung at each other as part of a bizarre annual ritual that’s meant to bring good health and atone for the sins of their ancestors.
The tradition, which is unique to the village of Gomatapura, sees men stripping down to their shorts and walking into a four-foot deep bed of cow dung before hurling the mess at one another, marking the end of Diwali.
And don’t worry, no cow dung goes to waste. Once the ritual is over, it’s sold to local farmers to use as fertilizer for their crops.
