Hate to be the bearer of bad news but this is what it has come down to the fact that we have to "normalise" the LGBT community due to severe backlash from from society, political and financial gains. Why can't it go back to the times were you couldn't be put to jail or be mocked by society for your views

Today marks 33 years of the event known as the “First Intifada”. One of the most known uprisings and rebellions against Israel by Palestinians. The event was sparked when a israeli IDF truck hit a car of Palestinian workers, killing four workers. During the rebellion an estimated 1,900 Palestinians and 280 israelis died, around 80,000-120,000 Palestinians were arrested by Israeli security forces. The rebellion ended in 1993, but inspired a number of future uprisings by Palestinians against Israel.
