Moving from a 100-point scale to a 4.0 scale feels like trying to translate a poem—sometimes things get lost in the process 🎓✈️

The biggest mistake students make is trying to "self-convert" using random tables they found online. This can lead to either underselling your achievements or setting unrealistic expectations for your target schools.

💡 The StudyQA Approach to GPA:

Don't Panic: In many cases, universities prefer your original trannoscript. They have internal experts who understand your country’s specific system.

Use Trusted Tools: If a conversion is mandatory (like on the Common App), stick to the WES iGPA Calculator. It’s the gold standard for a safe estimate.

Context is King: Your GPA is just one piece of the puzzle. How you present your academic narrative matters just as much as the number itself.

Stop overthinking the numbers and start building a winning strategy.

If you’re feeling stuck on your conversion or want to know exactly how your current grades stack up for Ivy League or top European universities, let’s talk.

“Is it too late for me to study abroad?”
One of the most common fears we hear.

The reality?
Age only matters in a few cases — mainly for some government scholarships, exchange programs, or specific visa categories.

In most situations, universities look at something else:

💡 your motivation and career goals
💡 how your experience connects to the program
💡 your readiness for academic study

In fact, maturity and professional experience often work in your favor.

And it’s not just theory — one of our students, Tatiana, received an offer from Universidade Católica Portuguesa at 39. Her full story is in the slides.

Stop focusing on your age — start focusing on your strategy.

Not sure how competitive your profile is?
