Опубликован выпуск библиотеки SVT-AV1 4.0.0 (Scalable Video Technology AV1) c реализациями кодировщика и декодировщика формата кодирования видео AV1, для ускорения которых задействованы присутствующие в процессорах x86_64 и ARM расширения для аппаратного распараллеливания вычислений. Проект создан компанией Intel в партнёрстве с Netflix с целью достижения уровня производительности, пригодного для перекодирования видео на лету и применения в сервисах, отдающих видео по запросу (VOD). В настоящее время разработка ведётся под эгидой альянса Open Media (AOMedia), курирующего развитие формата кодирования видео AV1. Ранее проект развивался в рамках проекта OpenVisualCloud, который также разрабатывает кодировщики SVT-HEVC и SVT-VP9. Код распространяется под лицензией BSD.

Microsoft discontinues support for answer files (unattend.xml) in Windows Deployment Services (WDS): Reasons and alternatives

Microsoft is disabling hands-free WDS deployments that use unattend.xml answer files due to security concerns (CVE-2026-0386), with the feature first warning after January 2026 updates and then being turned off by default from April 2026. However, it can still be re‑enabled via a registry key, and alternative WinPE-based methods remain supported for Windows 11 deployments.

Godot 4.6

Состоялся выпуск Godot 4.6 — кроссплатформенного игрового движка с открытым исходным кодом.
В Godot 4.6 по умолчанию используется физический код Jolt, который был экспериментальной опцией ещё в версии 4.4.
Новая версия вносит существенные изменения в код для экранного пространства (SSR), что значительно улучшает качество отражений.

Еще одно фундаментальное изменение — это появление LibGodot, библиотеки, позволяющей встраивать движок в ваши собственные приложения. Нативная поддержка OpenXR 1.1 — еще одно дополнение для Godot, в Windows теперь используется Direct3D 12 в качестве рендеринга по умолчанию.

В редакторе Godot 4.6 появилась новая «современная» тема оформления в дополнение к классической. Также в Godot 4.6 улучшена документация и внесены другие усовершенствования для помощи разработчикам игр.
