Werthein provided Milei with his private plane for his inaugural trip to the U.S., during which he joined Milei in visiting the Lubavitcher Rebbe's grave and meeting with former President Bill Clinton.

🇫🇷🇳🇱❗️ French and Dutch authorities conducted a raid on Netflix’s offices in Paris and Amsterdam on Tuesday as part of an ongoing tax fraud investigation.

This search, which included multiple locations in France, is related to allegations of “covering up serious tax fraud and off-the-books work” under a probe that began in November 2022.

French and Dutch investigators have collaborated on the case for months. The probe centers on Netflix’s tax practices in France from 2019 to 2021, during which Netflix allegedly structured its French operations to minimize tax liabilities by having subscribers sign up through a Dutch subsidiary. This practice reportedly reduced Netflix’s tax payment in France to under one million euros in 2019 and 2020, despite having about seven million French subscribers.

French media outlet La Lettre A reported that Netflix’s tax optimization approach, although potentially legal, may have resulted in low declared profits in France relative to its U.S. headquarters, with a notable increase to 10 million French subscribers today. Netflix, which reportedly earned $9.8 billion in global revenue and a $2.4 billion profit last quarter, maintains it complies with local laws on tax and content funding in all countries where it operates.
