🇺🇸❌🇵🇸👮 NEW: Federal immigration authorities arrested Palestinian activist Mahmoud Khalil on Saturday, who had been a prominent figure in protests against Israel at Columbia University.

➡️ Khalil, a graduate student at Columbia until December, was in his university-owned apartment when several ICE agents entered and took him into custody.

➡️ His attorney, Amy Greer, told The AP that she was in contact with one of the ICE agents during the arrest. The agent stated they were following orders from the State Department to revoke Khalil's student visa. However, when informed that Khalil was a permanent resident with a green card, the agent said they would instead revoke that, according to the lawyer.

This is the first arrest of many to come. We know there are more students at Columbia and other Universities across the Country who have engaged in pro-terrorist, anti-Semitic, anti-American activity, and the Trump Admin will not tolerate it.
