⚡️Banning End to End Encryption is Stupid

Here's an awesome writeup and simple demo by David Chisnall showing why its impossible to ban end to end encryption. A simple program written in a short amount of time could be used ontop of any existing messaging transport to achieve end to end encrypted messaging.

There's simply no way to ban encryption. The cat is already out of the bag.

If you're interested in a FOSS e2e messaging system, you may try XMPP. The easiest way to start is using the Snikket app, available on F-Droid and the iOS App store.

We all know the effect that blue light has on our eyes and sleep, but did you know that it also has effects on our skin?

My friend Sayer Ji from GreenMedInfo wrote this article recently discussing how blue light accelerates aging.

Maybe this is where my crows feet come from. 👴

More importantly, Gardenia extract when used on the skin can act as a blue lighter on your skin and reverse the damage. This was studied both on skin cells and in human studies, where crows feet were reduced.

Nature and its wonderful plant kingdom are coming to the rescue once again, this time for our digital detox.

⚡️Gratitude Check

This past month has been a tsunami of action. I was surfing off of a high with the success of our laptops and promising partnerships. Suddently, within hours it was being threatened to be swept away, in the face of a sophisticated security breach. In the stressful days that followed I was brought face to face with my self-doubt, questioning whether I should be doing what I'm doing.

After talking to a few close friends, I was reminded that its impossible to get anywhere in life without facing adversity, and these challenges are there to test how strong you really are.

We took that weakness and turned it into strength, opting to rebuild all of our infrastructure from scratch, this time on a foundation of security and continuous monitoring. Although it'll take more time, I'm looking forward to using this setback to bring about powerful positive change.

When it comes to your journey in life - will you be able to take the pressure? Or will you fold when the challenge comes?

When you aspire to make your mark in this world, the world is obligated to give you a few battle scars in return.

I am grateful for the challenges I am facing. We all have a choice to transmute the weakness in the moment into our greatest strength.

I am grateful to have an amazing team that trusts in the process and bands together to help each other.

I am super grateful to have a community that shares our values, believes in our mission, and is patient with us through our ups, and our downs.

I am grateful for the knowledge that I have been exposed to, and the knowledge that continues to come forth, pushing me towards continuous innovation.

I am grateful to see so many people everywhere lead by example and make their mark on the world by sharing their knowledge, creating new projects, and living their passion.

We are closer to realizing our dreams than we know, and I'm honored to be with you on this journey. Happy Thanksgiving! 🍃
